Default U.S. release date of Christine's new solo album

I sent an e-mail to Adventure Records about the U.S. release date of Christine's new album. I just got a reply.

It will be released in the U.S. on the Koch label on July 13th.

So it's June 7th in the U.K. & July 13th here in the U.S. I intend to get both releases. There's no way I'm going to wait 5 weeks to hear the album. I don't know anything about the Koch label except that I believe Ringo Starr's album last year was released on this label. This is good news for anyone worried about not being able to get the album here in the U.S.

Whoo-hoo, hopefully it will be released in many stores so we don't have to go hunting. Thanks for the info.

Koch isn't really a "label" per se. Koch is a distribution company. Adventure Records is her label, and they're selling the U.S. distribution rights to Koch.

I personally dislike Koch intensely. I wish she could've at least gone with ADA or RED if she wasn't going to go through Sanctuary/BMG in the U.S.

It shouldn't be a problem to find this album in stores like Tower or even Sam Goody- Best Buys will have it, but don't look for Wal-Mart, K-Mart, or Target to have many copies.

Wow! My very first post! So for more great news, The Legendary Christine Perfect Album will be released on CD for the first time as well later this year! It will also contain several un-released tracks. Radio 2 (BBC)'s Paul Jones had Mike Vernon on tonight - original Mac producer and Christine Perfect producer. He is re-releasing a truckload of old Peter Green-era live and studio tracks from Blue Horizon (his old label) as well as Chicken Shack and Christine
Perfect/McVie stuff from late 60s. (Includes lots of never-before-aired songs and versions!)

You can listen to the one-hour show at
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2/shows/jones

About 40 mins in, he plays a Christine track never heard before - found in the Sony vaults at Aylesbury.

FYI, the album came out on CD about ten years ago in Europe, but has been long discontinued. I got my copy at a record show.

Yeah, this release date from Koch is 2 weeks later than the release date that I got from Adventure Records. The important thing is that the album's going to come out this summer in the U.K. & the U.S.

I also have the Christine Perfect album on CD. It's an import that was released in 1993. But, I'm going to get this new re-issue just for the remastered sound & bonus tracks. I'm also interested in any new un-released Chicken Shack tracks as well as the Martha Velez album that Christine played on.

This is all quite a lot of Christine Perfect/McVie music coming out this year.

Maybe you can help me: Do you know the complete list of Chicken Shack albums Christine is on? I have no idea which ones I should get to hear Christine? She was only in the band for a while, right?

She plays on "Ok Ken"
and 40 Fingers (the title eludes me but it's something like that) i have both imports and they are well worth it!

I've seen the Japanese presses on eBay for around $70. Were they actual legit releases or boots? I have a copy of the Japanese and it sounds terrible for being on a CD! I'm glad it will be remastered anyway!

The 2 studio albums with Christine are:

40 Blue Fingers Freshly Packed & Ready To Serve
O.K. Ken?

I believe there will be a 2 for 1 release of these 2 albums(both albums on 1 CD). That should make it cheaper to buy.

I also have 2 more Chicken Shack CDs:

On Air(This is a live BBC recording. It includes live BBC versions of "I'd Rather Go Blind" & "Get Like You Used To Be".

From The Vaults(This is a collection of live recordings & studio outtakes.)

These last 2 CDs are not Blue Horizon recordings so I doubt that they'll be included in these re-issues coming out later this year.

Christine was only in Chicken Shack a little less than 2 years. Stan Webb does most of the vocals, but Christine does have 2 songs on the first album & 4 songs on the second album. There's lots of Christine's piano on all of the albums.
