On this board, you may be! I never minded his performances, i pretty much ignore it, but then I had a friend who sat front row & told me afterwards about how Mick's sweat was flying all over them - ICK!

I think the only ones that bored me on the SYW Tour were "Dreams" and "Gypsy". But hey folks every one needs pee break and beer run songs, so I'm really not complaining.

I agree with most of the snoozers listed so far.

Not to change the direction of this thread, but...

I think the most refreshing part of the show is Never Going Back Again. It's a great version that stands up well with the original. I just love it when only the four of them are on stage without the backups. The best!

Which ones am I sick of? All of them.
"Say You Will" is basically a reprise of the "Dance" set list: The old faves with a smattering of new stuff (and most of Christine's songs removed).
And frankly, the formula is tired as hell. I saw the show last year and was thoroughly disappointed with the lack of inspiration on view _ both in the performances and in the choice of songs. It was definitely NOT worth the ticket price.
They should do what Stevie did on the "Enchanted" tour and play a bunch of obscure songs. It's about time they catered to the hardcore fans rather than casual radio listeners.

I agree, but it wouldn't make for good pensions if they did, so that'll never happen.

I hope not! I'd like to believe that Stevie could tear it up without the coke. That said, I think the major issue these days is age related. She's not a twenty/thirtysomething anymore so she doesn't have the energy to work the stage like she used to. She could still get a little more into it vocally though, I would love to see/hear her perform GDW like she did on The Dance video.

Lindsey~~~Big Love-I guess it has really played itself out for me.
"World Turning"-I like the album version and never really cared for it live and minus Christine in the mix it is not the same.
Stevie~~"Dreams"-I guess this is another tune that just keeps getting played a lot and I want to hear more obscure stuff!
"Gypsy"~While I love the studio version, I always felt it didn't transfer well live.
Christine~~"Hold Me" I love this song so much but live it really did not take off, vocally it did not mesh well and the guitar work while layered in the studio version, it could not be done in the live setting.

With the exception of "Go Your Own Way" & "Oh Well", they could dump all the songs prior to the Tusk album tunes and I'd be just fine. Of course, that means they'd have to start PLAYING "Oh Well" again.

I think she is, I actually think it's alot BETTER then the dance. The scream at the end is far better then the Dance scream. And the part where she calls Pale SHADOOOOW SHEEEE'S a DRAAAGON is great. I think Gold Dust Woman is the one song you can't accuse Stevie of not doing well anymore. I can "see" the beef with Rhiannon (although I don;t agree) but GDW is the best it's ever been. Same with Silver Springs. Stevie rocks both now.

Eh, "Second Hand News" has been played to death along with all the others. They have played it A LOT, including as an encore on the Rumours tour, and the opening tune on Mirage. They brought it back at the second show in '97 and have played it ever since. Granted, it took a 15 year break...it's no GYOW, The Chain, or Don't Stop (even Rhiannon has had a few breaks over the years)...but I think it's pretty much overplayed.

Where are I Don't Want to Know, Crystal, SOTM, Angel, The Ledge, That's Alright, Seven Wonders, Blue Letter, oh...I could go on for hours.

I think the Dance version is far superior. There's just something about that one; it seemed a bit more raw and much more powerful. She kept herself restrained on some of the other songs, but she really threw caution to the wind with that one in '97. Unfortunately, byt the time Enchanted rolled around, it got a little rote and too "down pat." It was done a terrible injustice on the TISL tour, but I still enjoyed it somewhat, even though she really started with the theatrics. Now, it's performed as if it's the centerpiece of a Broadway show, even though the vocal is still outstanding. But I don't think it'll ever be as firey as it was in '97.

I'll give you that Broadway reference - but for me it still works.
I am just thankful that she MOVES. Even if it is just a tragic pose.
Other than Stand Back and Beautiful Child, I didn't sense a complete vocal and physical commitment in the performance of the other songs in the set. She actually seems to be into those 3 songs. So, I am taking the scraps I am thrown.

This email has to be quick but simply...

Gold Dust Woman- was really disappointing in that it ruins the song of my memory of the song, by the 3rd time id heard her try to put on a fake performance at the Aus2004 shows... it was actually sad to see.

I Absolutely love Beautiful child live- not greta to hear her say the exact same story word for word but sensastional to hear, her hoive fills the whole arena

Im not a fan of Im So Afraid- seems to drag a little to me, and Peacekeeper i agree with all of you that it has no place live!

Dreams i find boring, to me its a rather boring song although i love it, it is not a good song live, it just seems to always be there.

STAND BACK- i surprised to see how sensational it was live, especially in the sydney 2nd show, you can feel the energy from the audience and she takes it into this song i believe.
