It all depends on what THEY consider "country" - if they let them do newer Faith & Shania songs (which I consider straight-up POP, not country), the girls will probably do great. If they make them do REAL country, I don't know...Diana will be OK, but the rest? I don't know how good they'll sound doing country, I may be wrong...

Talking To borrow...

and idea from George Carlin (George's original idea was applied to the "Miss USA" pageant), I think they should make the losers of A.I. come back and sing until they finally win the stupid thing

I don't either, but I think the rest of America does. It must be the personality because his performances have been beyond horrible! And you're right, the "Hard to Handle" performance was laughable, I mean, I was actually rolling!

I've only caught a couple performances tonight.... Jennifer Hudson (she was bad) and Jon Peter (he was worse).

I have to say that I love Simon. He has been spot on this year. I am overall disappointed by this year's finalists. Fantasia all the way, baybah!

Jasmine was okay, but to the defense of the others, "Breathe" is NOT a country song. It's a pop song!

For me it's Diana and LaToya...everyone else? Blah.

That's right, Amy. Praise the lord and pass the ammunition....so I can shoot myself in the head. You were better tonight than you have been but as a whole...this group? Sucked.

With a HUGE catalog of country songs to choose from, why did some people pick recent songs that were on the top of the charts? Bleh.

Did I mention that Desperado has been ruined for me? It has. Way to go, Cam.

Likewise - UGH! Awful!

I thought John Stevens did great (although it was a "safe" song for his voice, as Simon would say.) Also liked Fantasia, Latoya & Amy. George was alright. The rest of them did nothing for me.

I'm thinking Camille may be a goner - and rightly so.

Fantasia was good.
This was Jennifer's weakest performance (poor song choice, IMO), but for Simon (again) to make it sound like she was worse than Camille, Matt, etc. is ridiculous.
And I'm sorry, but I find LaToya dull and I don't care for the sound of Diana's voice, though they certainly have strong voices.

Agreed. I cannot believe they continue to praise the guy.

Amy was great in auditions and again last night. She's finally choosing the right song to showcase her voice and pep.

In the performers' defense, most of the target teenybopper voters don't know even the Kenny Rogers song, I'd imagine. I'm sure the singers heard voices telling them to go with the recent and familiar.

That was beyond bad. She should go tonight, but I think it will be Jennifer.
