To make the image appear within the post you need to have the image hosted at your own webspace. Usually you'll get 10-30 meg of free webspace with your internet account. It's a bit tricky and took me a while to figure out how to use it.
Use this programme (http://download.com.com/3000-2160-10018456.html) and do some research into or contact your Internet company to find out what details you need from them to use the uploading programme. Until then, your attachments are working fine
