Yes, they were all consulted, and each had to approve the final mixes for this to be released.

All done. My favorites:

Second Hand News-
Never Going back again - I would say this if my absolute favorite. It is beautiful.
Songbird - really nice mix
You make lovin fun - the end with Stevie is great
Silver Springs - nice vocal take I have never heard
Gold Dust Woman - nice

Oh, I almost named all of them.
The Dreams final version has a much improved bass line. John did not quite have the groove yet.

I hope I am not giving too much away.

I like what Lindsey and the band were trying to do with Planets.
And amazing vocals from Stevie.. of course.

The extra vocals on Oh Daddy can be heard on the Rumours Classic Albums DVD. And the extra YMLF vocals are what they sung live back in the day, going by a bootleg I've heard, or it could even be in some live footage from that Rumours doco.

Final thoughts....

I just spent an hour listening to it, and I want to listen again... and that's always a good sign, in my opinion.

Some of these versions will be familiar to people who collect bootleg discs or download from the various sites, but even those fans will be pleasantly surprised to be hearing some stuff for the very first time.

Even though streaming audio isn't conducive to the best sound quality, I could still tell that these were mastered with care.

Overall, it's a terrific disc, and I think everyone will be satisfied with it. I highly recommend it.

I stayed way past my bed time to hear this. I was amazed at how good the sound is. Love Oh Daddy, Stevie adds some real great backing vocals. Silver Springs, she gives it all she has. Love planets too. It was all great. not really into the blues jam thing. I hope this stays up for a while so I can listen again. In Canada they have this cd listed at $29. Is there away this can be downloaded? Hmmm.

You're right, Joe... it's the same vocal arrangement that we hear on the 'Rosebud' documentary version.

But I didn't want to spill the beans on that!

The jam at the end is terrific! It's the sort of coda-style jam that yusually gets cut off just when its getting good, except this one just plays on and on. It's Bob Welch era right?

The Mic The Screecher thing - who/what on earth is that. An who thought it would be good to put on an audio CD? lol
Maybe the new expanded liner notes will explain.

"Mic The Screecher" is, at best, a curiousity. But I doubt I'll be listening to it more than once.
I kept waiting for it to kick into something cool, then it just began to get annoying. Thankfully, it ended not long after that.

"For Duster," on the other hand, is terrific. I think the fans that go way back to FM's blues days, will be really pleased with that jam.

I don't think it's Bob Welch era, Joe... but I'm pretty sure one of the articles about the reissues, said he plays on it.

Kudos to David McLees, et all.

I'd be wary about this. I just downloaded that program and then use it to download the ram stream... it worked for SHN then after that the songs are all weirded up. It actually makes for interesting listening; but people for whom it took ages to dload or don't have 25 MB to spare will not be impressed.

Thanks for the link, dude. Go Your Own Way feels so naked without the acoustic guitar track. Scandalous!

Silver Springs - LOVE IT!!!!

Songbird - really lovely. Almost tops the album version. Actually, I think it does.

YMLF - I like it! Stevie's vocals add a lot.

NGBA - gorgeous.

GDW - stunning, but I miss the howl.

I dig this version of Think About It, which was always one my favorite Bella Donna songs. I wish Lindsey had done some kick-ass leads on this.

That HiDownLoad did not work for me.
Is there another program easier to use, or am I doing something wrong? HELP
