Wasn't it common for managers to get a percentage of their artists publishing?

Gosh, I hope not! LOL In any case, I still think it had everything to do w/ Mick not wanting a Fleetwood Mac song on a Stevie solo album. She may own the intellectual property, but the master recording was part of the Rumours sessions.

Maybe she did not want to re-record it because she did not want to pay the musicians, etc. Or, bless her heart, I do not think at that point in her life she thought she could repeat the vocal at that time. As demonstrated in The Dance, she was wrong. But, maybe it took LB standing across the stage as something to direct the venom at to make her get to that vocal

Mick couldn't let Stevie use the Fleetwood Mac version. There was already a contract with WB to have the song be THE big highlight on the Mac's box set. Mick's hands were tied.

If that were the case, why does Stevie blame Mick for it? Maybe she just needed an excuse to get out of Fleetwood Mac, since after Lindsey left, there was no joy in it for her.
