They used to call me Marissa Explains It All in school

That's what I'll call you from now on: Rissa Explains It All.

Guts was a great show; thanks for the name! I loved the challenges, they were the BEST. At the end when they had to climb the "mountain"? Oh, it was great.

And I loooooooove Carmen Sandiego! I had the board game and drove my mother nuts with it. They should bring it back to PBS and trash Zooboomafoom.

I remember a LOT of these shows from when I was young too (although I'm not as old as some of you! ). I distinctly remember watching Eureeka's Castle,The Adventures of Tin Tin, and Land of the Lost when I was really little. Clarissa and the rest of the Snick shows came a little later. By the way, was All That a part of the original Snick? That show was so funny!

And on a slightly more recent note, I still watch Hey Arnold a lot.

By the way, was Legends of the Hidden Temple the one where is you werent careful in the obstacle course (temple ), the weird, swampy looking green men would catch you? LOL

Oh, thanks for that link too!

Yup, that's the one!

The original Snick was Clarissa, Are you Afraid of the Dark?, Roundhouse, and Ren & Stimpy.

I just read somewhere that HR Puff-N-Stuff is coming out on DVD.

You've all made me feel really old. My Saturday mornings were spent watching Looney Toons, Scooby Doo (w/o Scrappy!) and the SuperHeros (Wonder Woman, Wonder Twins, etc). As for taping them, well VCRs weren't around yet. Maybe Beta versions, but not many people had them...we did have Pong, though!

Here's another great classic Nick site:

It has info on Count Duckula; one of my faves!

Thumbs up Well...

I have started watching Japanese anime again religiously, Mainly "Witch Hunter Robin" & "Cowboy Bebop"...Btw, "Robin" attire (Main character of "WHR") reminds me of someone with the same long flowing black "grandma" dress she wears in each episode, But I just can't picture who it is she reminds me of...

I have since enjoyed childish shows like "Sagawa-The Chinese Siamese Cat", but I still enjoy classics like "Sesame Street" & "Mister Rogers".

Default blast from the past

WOW this is like reliving my not so long ago child hood, my gosh I recognize almost all of these, Mapletown, Kooala Bear, Count Duckula, DD, and Hidden Temple, wow!

Anyways as for what I'm too old, well I still adore the chipmunks and if they are on I will watch them, discovered a lot of great music through that show Plus I have a stuffed alvin on my bed, my roomies call it my boyfriend, what can I say I had to bring one stuffed animal with me.

As for other stuff well my computer songs do include some disney tunes, and I do own both chipmunk christmas tapes.

Oh I still buy and read Betty and Veronicas regularly, but then again you're never to old for comic books.

I'm sure there are some other things I could mention, but I'll leave it at that.

Ooh, here's one:

My mother (of all people) bought a Playstation 2 and I literally make up excuses to go over there and play it. I'm addicted to The Simpsons: Hit and Run game and Celebrity Deathmatch with Anna Nicole. And I hate video games.

that's true...I need to start up collecting Superman again, Since I have all the issues from 1986-1997, Just got busy with life and stopped reading awhile back.

My older brother Geary has about 30,000 comics (!!!) and he will never give that hobby up even as he approaches his 40's.

I enjoy "The O.C." way too much for someone over 30. Spongebob Squarepants is my man! I love that cartoon so much. Sandy, Patrick and Bob are just too cute. Also I like Ed, Edd and Eddy. Yesterday I watched Tom and Jerry and laughed so hard my side hurt. And for my weekend I have bought like 5 video tapes because Sci-Fi is running Quantum Leap all day! I can't think of a better way to spend my birthday weekend! Yes ~ I need a life. LOL!

The Simpsons Hit And Run is addicting...can I just say the entire time I was down the shore, my cousin and I played that and Tetris World with my aunt and my other cousins fiancee (we passed the controllers around...lol). We're talking like, 4 hours and none of us have moved yet

Remember the "Littlest Gnome"? "Eureeka's Castle"? "Grimms Fairy Tales"? "The Adventures of Tin Tin"? I'm feeling so nostalgic
You've got ME feeling all nostalgic now! I loved Temple and Double Dare too, and I especially loved Salute Your Shorts!

Another good one is The Simpsons: Road Rage. You go over a bump in the road and Moe shouts "ouch! I just sat on my 'roids!"

I love Summer and Seth together. I thought I was the only one. Everyone else is like no way Anna and Seth should be together. And Luke and Julie Cooper ahh that's just wrong but hey to each their own. And don't get me started about Marissa. Could she not see Oliver was a freak. Oh gosh ~ I am 33 not 13. I should not like this show as much as I do...California..aah ahh.........
