Well, that is the crappy part. It can last up to ten years, that period is known as perimenopause. Menopause is the final point. But, you are on a hormonal roller coaster and it is not a party, I promise. I am 51 and just had a total hysterectomy, but, was peri for like 7 years and it has been gruelling. Finally being done is a piece of cake comparitively. So, it is possible that she is dealing with regular life changes too.
