Default Stevie's words might come back to bite her...

...in the keister.

The wires have picked up the Australian article about Stevie slamming Hootchie Spears and Madge. Here's the latest:

http://imdb.com/PeopleNews/#1

Scroll down a bit and you'll see it. At least they referred to Stevie as a legend!

I saw that yesterday and I CRINGED! But at least they called her a "legend"... implying that she's old and washed up but she's NOT. Of course the only time FM gets any press is when one of its members makes a controversial remark. God forbid we get a real video on MTV or a new single on the radio!

Dissention-- have SO MUCH FUN tonight sitting in the FIRST ROW! You will freak out, you will just freak out from it-- it will ruin you for ALL other concerts! Enjoy it!!!!

Yes, it was cringe inducing! But Stevie has always had some snarky remarks for Madge. Remember the thesis on religion quote? LMAO!

And I'll try my best to have a good time... It'll be hard, but I'll manage. Thanks so much! I'll have a review up as soon as I get home!

All I can say is Go Stevie! I am sorry, but though Christina Aguilera has a great voice and even Britney to an extent, I really find the way they present themselves to be ridiculous (i.e. RS cover for this bi-weekly issue and even the one with Christina covered by only a guitar -- who wants to bet she can't even play guitar and who hasn't done that already...even our beloved Lindsey did but at least he can play guitar!).

As much as I love catching the occasional FM or Lindsey video on VH1, I really think that MTV was a big part of the destruction of the music industry. I've seen some fantastic videos from a lot of artists, but somewhere along the line, image started overshadowing talent.

Of course, Warner, Universal, BMG, Virgin, and Sony controlling 85% of the recording industry and ClearChannel controlling the airwaves and venues certainly isn't helping the situation either. Recording companies aren't sticking with artists long enough to allow them to develop. People are also running what works into the ground -- thank you Lindsey, I love you for not doing that and staying true to yourself instead. As for ClearChannel there is so much crossover and such a limited selection of music...gah...it all just disgusts me so much.

Myself and a friend of mine were discussing the current state of the recording industry and we both agree that its days are numbered. I'll be interested to see what happens when it all comes crashing down and you better bet I will be there to help pick up the pieces. Hell, I'd like to help tear it down too.

menopause has really given Stevie a pair of you know whats...i'm really shocked that she's openly commented about it....i'm afraid to see what kind of backlash (if any) she's going to get....anyway, this "shocking" stuff is really old. i think if people want to be shocking these days they'd put some clothes on and get some class....this **** is old now...the whole degradation of the industry has been going on for at least 20 years now....i think we're over it already. it's already been done before. pick something new. and i think these artists aren't doing it to make a statement or for schock....they're doing it cause they want to for their own pleasure....give me a break....i mean, once they shed all their clothes what's next? turn themselves inside out and expose their guts??? really, i mean where does it end? let's get some class. and, no, i am no way a prude but i do have class.
i agree with stevie about the mystery and if you have none than you have nothing.

ok...i'm done ranting.

Ouch!

These words are tough, yet they are also true. Twenty or thirty years from now, will anyone remember anything Britney and Christina have sung? I don't think they've sung songs like Dreams, etc.

If you've seen Robbie Williams' REALLY GROSS video for "Rock DJ" (I believe it was), yeah...THAT has been done.

Another thing...Lindsey, being onstage playing his guitar and singing with EVERY SINGLE OUNCE of energy humanly possible is a TRAZILLION times sexier than if he were to pose nekkid for Playgirl or something. Of course, everyone's perception of what's sexy is different.
