Being a completist, I like having as many different versions of these songs as there are to have.
If they have four versions of "I Know I'm Not Wrong" or three versions of "Gold Dust Woman" in the vaults, then I want them.

They've included alternate versions of many different tracks, and a nice smattering of rare demos... I think that's a pretty decent amount of variety, even if a few songs are presented in a couple different versions.

Oh, I'm going to buy them just on the off chance that some of the demos that we think we've heard might be completely different. I just think they could've cooled off on the repeat demos and alt. versions.

I mean, wouldn't you be a bit disappointed if all 21 extras were of I Know I'm Not Wrong? I certainly would!

You know, I'm kind of disappointed in the fact that a song like "I Know I'm Not Wrong" got that many slots. Not to offend those that do love it, because I wouldn't want to rain on y'all's parade.

Though I have to admit -- if I had chose the songs -- there would be like five versions of "Brown Eyes," two of "Never Forget," and about three for "What Makes You Think You're the One."

Let's all be thankful that didn't happen. I would of stopped being a fan right then and there. I'm pretty happy with what was included though.

Well, personally... and as much as I love "I Know I'm Not Wrong"... I'll admit that I would have left one of those versions off, for the alternate "Tusk" that I mentioned earlier (for example).

But it's not enough to dampen my enjoyment and excitement over these.

I would think that if they included that many versions, they must be significantly different from each other, or they wouldn't have.

That's what I'm thinking too... that there's a very valid reason why they included so many versions of it.
Still, I would have loved to have had that "Tusk"... but maybe, in the long run, I'll be even happier to have these.

I will be glad to have it just to have some of the demos (Possibly in circulation now) in a better overall sound quality...

Dissention - Leave NMB out of this!

On the 'I Know I'm Not Wrong ' front, I agree with ChiliD that each version will be of very different stages in the song's evolution. You will note that there's no demo or outtake for 'not That Funny'. As we all know, these two songs are extremely similar in different ways (both in C, both with similar chord progression and rhythm, they even share a verse). My guess is that the first 'I Know I'm Not Wrong' track is in fact an embryonic 'seed' song which diverged from that point into the two different songs. So I wager that the second one will be more like 'Not That Funny' and the last will be more like 'I Know I'm Not Wrong'.

Just a guess though. As someone has justifably said, there could have been some minor errors in the transcription of this track listing.

I kind of liked the piano demo, so I wouldn't mind if that's what turns out to be on the CD (It still kills me that the "You will remember, but I will die a slow death" part was cut from the TISL version).

However, a full-band version of this song would rock my socks.

There are three or four early takes of "Not That Funny" out there, but they're all very close to the final work.

I wonder whether the "Over & Over" on the remaster is the one with Christine singing "Do-wop, do-waddy-waddy/Do-wop, do-waddy-waddy" during the intro.

That could be Ken Caillat's dissatisfaction with the way the songs eventually turned out. He's supposed to still have some ire towards the recording of Tusk and Lindsey's "dominance". But then again, he couldn't remember the actual reasons behind these mixes in his Q&A either.

It happens to me all the time aah what can you do about it hehe

I did not know about straight back (as i did not know about i know i'm not wrong) must say this time it took me longer to notice the difirence. Put in the lp first to notice if i would notice right away like i did with I know i'm not wrong. But did not at first.
so i put in both the lp and the cd and listened to 10 seconds of one and then 10 of the other and compared that way trough the song.
Now the difirence i have noticed is on the cd versions there are some overdubs on stevie's vocals singing back to herself as i call it that wasn't on the lp
and the guitar part at the ending of the song.

Did I miss anything ??
