I remember seeing an interview with the girls from Wilson Phillips once on VH1 and the song that they did for their record company audition was Stevie's "Wild Heart".

Default Wilson Phillips

I love them, glad to hear a new album is coming out, maybe they will tour too
Just one complaint, why did they have to do GYOW? Sorry I just can't picture a group of girls singing it. Wonder what Lindsey's opinion is on this, esp. considering his opinion on the DC version of Landslide.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I, too, like Wilson Phillips. I love the way they harmonize. I have a cassette of theirs somewhere. I'm just wondering how it's going to sound. Yeah, they'll turn it into a woman's song. And what if they turn it into a ballad? Yuck, I couldn't take that.

He didn't like it? I didn't really like it. Too honky-tonk compared to FM's version - simple guitar and vocal.

But think about the Cranberries' version of GYOW. There's guys in there but it's driven by a female voice, and I think it sounds okay.

Nothing beats the original though.

i like 3-part harmony and "go your own way."

i'll buy wilson-phillips!

"landslide" by the dixie chicks was totally lousy, in my opinion.

you heard about her stomach operation several years ago, right? She even broadcast it on the net (no I didn't watch).

I had no idea the Cranberries did GYOW.

No, Lindsey didn't really care for it, can't remember why exactly, something about it being "their song," think he probably has trouble picturing anyone but Stevie singing it (consider how long they have been playing that song).

Yeah...like I said I don't really like the DC version. I don't really like the Dixie Chicks period.

But I liked the acoustic Smashing Pumpkins version of Landslide. The guitar is interesting. What about everyone else?

They're all grown up now. I think all three of them are married and Chynna and Wendy have kids.

Yeah, Carnie looks really nice now. But, I thought she was cute even when she was chubby.

I love their song Release Me!

You can find it on "Legacy: a tribute to Fleetwood Mac's Rumours".

Tracklisting:

1. Second Hand News - Tonic
2. Dreams - The Corrs
3. Never Going Back Again - matchbox 20
4. Don't Stop - Elton John
5. Go Your Own Way - The Cranberries
6. Songbird - Duncan Sheik
7. The Chain - Shawn Colvin
8. You Make Loving Fun - Jewel
9. I Don't Want To Know - Goo Goo Dolls
10. Oh Daddy - Tallulah
11. Gold Dust Woman - Sister Hazel

I think it's worth getting. I kind of like the Cranberries cover of GYOW, but my favorite tracks on this cd would be "Second Hand News", "Never Going Back Again", "I Don't Want To Know", and "Gold Dust Woman".

I only found out about that recently. I saw a picture of her and didn't recognise her!
