Default New FM doc in 2027?

So, Dennis Dunstan, who used to be security for FM, posted this evening that there's a new doc coming out in 2027.

(I screenshot a couple things, but the images are too large to upload here)

Yes, Lindsey hinted that it would be early 2027 and he would release his album soon after. He said the documentary helped he and Stevie heal their relationship. These two just drive me crazy.

All I want is new music… I’m really tired of the drama and back stories.

It was still mildly interesting in their 50s. These days they're gonna just have to keep ramming their electric wheelchairs into each other, repeatedly, until one of their batteries dies.

The drama is SO STUPID at this age.

Fleetwood Mac: The Chain, the first fully authorized documentary on the legendary rock band, will debut on Apple TV on January 29, 2027.
....
The doc synopsis reads: Following their fortuitous meeting in 1974, Mick Fleetwood, John McVie, Christine McVie, Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks reflect on their uncompromising 50-plus-year history, from their record-breaking recordings and tours — including never-before-seen footage and exclusive new interviews — through to today.

I thought the 1997 Classic Albums: Fleetwood Mac – Rumours was fully authorized, too.

Well since the synopsis mentions 1974 it is clear that it will not cover the band’s entire history. I’d bet it will include very little from the 1988–1997 period, if it mentions anything at all. But it would be a pleasant surprise if they did go into detail about the events (and the albums) from those years.

Let’s see what they have to say about 2018 onwards.

Rumours was released on feb. 4 1977. This doc could have made its debut on 2/4/27 instead of 1/29. I wonder if anyone proposed that. And I just checked FB of Mick, Lindsey and Stevie. Hers is the only one that posted the announcement, so far. I know she didn't write it, but funny to read "Some bonds can never be broken" in a Stevie social network.

Not surprising but still hugely disappointing. We don't need to hear or see the same old BS that's been regurgitated thousands of times before. There is so much more about this band that is just as interesting and provocative. It's such a slap in the face to Peter, Danny, Jeremy and Bob Welch specifically who deserve to shine and have their stories told in a proper manner. They weren't footnotes, they helped take Fleetwood Mac to the point where Lindsey and Stevie could even join the band.

I agree. but unfortunately the majority of "fans" are mainly interested in the L&S years. I am looking forward to at least the new pictures that John gave them... not getting my hopes up for many new stories/info.

It's really kind of sad, because they're a one hit wonder. RUMOURS defined FM... THE END.

************SPOILER ALERT**********

Mick wanted a guitarist after Bob Welch left
He heard Stevie and Lindsey on Frozen Love
They met at a Mexican restaruant and got drunk on margaritas and asked them to join
The decision was Chris's to make
Stevie says she was a "house cat" because they only wanted Lindsey
Chris got goosepimples when trying them out on Say You Love Me
Stevie did not want them to release Rhiannon.
They all broke up right before and during Rumours
They all did tons of blow and became superstars

The end

And as for new ones, it was Stevie that after buying all the Fleetwood Mac records and listened to them back to front she said And pretty- I made the decision, I basically said, I think we can add something to this band.

Yes, highly likely we will already know 99% if not 100% of what the doc contains. Again, it would be a really unexpected surprise if they were to tell us something new. But what would really bother me, though, is if they included interviews from old material that we’ve already seen (except for Christine, obviously). Many of them have already been included several times in various docs.
