The mischievous smile was him laughing at himself for forgetting how the song went, and then cramming all the words in at the last second. Like the sad karaoke singer that he is.

I was glad to see him out and about.

His voice (LB's) is showing the effects of not having been out there singing onstage for a long time. And of age. Not the same anymore, but not bad for a dude pushing 80 and still actually singing live (lots and lots of controversy about whether Celine Dion and some others are actually singing at all, let alone without looping and/or autotune).

I give Stevie credit for this as well.... like her voice now or don't, she's singin' it for ya ... herself at least the lead vocals mostly (and plenty of back up singers).

One does wonder if Linds could do the whole gymnastic energy show he was doing before... I would have to think not... just again due to age and not having done it at that level now for so long.

I really hope FM is done, but if Lindsey or anyone else wants them to do something together again I hope it is NOT a big venue. Do a soundstage like The Dance or do a small theater or something (Again, I am so not advocating for this myself at all). Stevie would need to get over the ego part of not doing an arena.

Fortunately for Sombr, Glenn wasn't there to laugh at him.

I thought he sounded and looked good! It’s nice to see him playing a rocker - the most recent things we’ve seen were all NGBA/Big Love acoustic. Has he played GYOW on stage since he did it with The Killers a few years ago?

he did Caution and GYOW with The Killers in August 2022., a couple of months before his European tour dates - he did 2 solo tour dates, Berlin and London, before he had to cancel the rest of the dates because of repeatedly catching COVID.

I don't know whether he did GYOW somewhere on stage in the meantime.

I do thin he sounded well, too. Specially for his age. I didn't like a past Big Love live I saw recently, but here he performed good.

However, he or the one who manages his media seems to be not convinced. Lindsey thanked for the invitation in his FB and Youtube, with a short clip of that night but he or somebody replaced the audio with Rumours' GYOW.

Thank you for the warm welcome

I read that in 2021, Buckingham shared that they were putting the divorce proceedings on hold to work on their relationship and mend their marriage. Today though their current legal and marital status remains uncertain. Could their eternal divorce filing be a tactic to pay less in taxes?

Some folks on reddit think he is delaying it to coincide with the release of the documentary, to get maximum attention...?

this seems unlikely to me.

That would be kind of fukced up to do, IMO. Shirley he's not that desperate for attention.

Lis,

That was me; regarding the reddit post. I stand by my point, at this late stage of whatever remains of the band, everything is centred around exposure, marketability and reaching the Gen Z crowd. He will want to move actual numbers of any album released. His team will manipulate the market in any way that can to get the most amount of attention.

We saw the exact same strategy in 2021. And, don't get me wrong, it's sad and pathetic but Lindsey just wants to get his music heard to as wide an audience as possible. Can we blame him for that?

It's a bitch to try and be relevant when you're knocking on 80.

I think it's sad that they still feel the need to do so. Embrace your senior years. Have a 5pm wine party with your neighbors every day. Stop trying to be relevant, BECAUSE YOUR DAY IN THE SUN HAS PASSED. AND THAT'S OKAY.

Ok I agree their movements are centred around exposure, marketability and reaching the Gen Z crowd. What for? I think the idea is to boost sales of Rumours or any compilation album within that "new" public, and the documentary serves that purpose as well. Will they earn more from this than from new albums? Very likely, I think.

But in Lindsey case, would the divorce delay be related to that? I don't get it.

Usually, people want their ex-partner to walk away with as little as possible in a divorce. In this case, if L&K still get along and care for each other, Lindsey might want to give Kristen more, especially that his wealth could potentially increase next year. I don’t know; I’m just speculating. It would all be a bit strange anyway. The idea that they might be giving things another try is plausible, though so much time has passed that it’s surprising they haven’t just called off the divorce proceedings entirely.
