Sphere Residency Planning Meeting
Lindsey: "So for the entrance, I was thinking what would Jim Jarmusch do? And then I realized it would be really appropriate and cyclical if I entered the stage on my Ocean Spray horse while playing Introduction to Don't Look Down on a handcrafted 16th century Hungarian lute..."
Stevie (through the phone, being held by Karen): "Lindseyyy! There's no time for that!! After the animated Rhiannon short film and my 1 hour free-talk with the audience, there's only time for one more song of mine, remember? Duh?"
And now that Christine is gone Stand Back will be coming back into the mix. It will be a grab bag of classic Mac songs, a few Buckingham Nicks songs, and some solo songs. Mick's meet and greets will be $1000 that will include a photo sitting behind Mick's drums.

I agree Lindsey wants to rectify that, so this would satisfy a neeed for him. He might feel the need to be remembered as a member of Fleetwood Mac, not a former member. And that's why he's saying what he's saying in those interviews, and why he wants some kind of reunion.

Which, again, isn't something I want. Sorry Lindsey.

I think Lindsey's near death experience changed him more than the firing. His whole life he lived with losing his father and brother young to a genetic heart issue. The fear it happening to him always lived in the back of his mind. Its given him a new lease on life and he genuinely enjoys playing for people and soaking up their appreciation. Its a completely different Lindsey from years past. He does not remember much but loves sharing his past performances with his kids.

Stevie conversely would lose money (and autonomy), and is not desperate to "make things right" with Lindsey in any musical or professional sense. Nor is she looking to do something different for a change of pace.
Two posts in a row that we agree!!

It is Mick who still talks, actually posts about a new album. He was in LA in june for a "a great week recording" and last week he posted he was going to London to work on his album.

No hint about the release date, but if it is in 2027, as Lindsey's album apparently will be too though who knows, these guys will be active next year.

And I think this was a (last year) post where Lindsey is shown in a Mick's album recording session.

So two albums from these Mac people plus the 50 anniversary of Rumours, it could mean there will be performances, interviews, where they cross paths, appear together, etc. Good for them if that happens, I just hope they don't announce it as a reunion.

I'd be hesitant to even wager that they'll all still be alive next year...

this was talked about in a thread a long time ago and people got very pissy about it, but honestly I see Mick and Stevie as the last ones standing. Not wishing ill on anyone whatsoever, but that just seems the ironic way the universe will work

I agree. Lindsey seemed like Superman for the past couple of decades, but age has caught even Superman.

I think he still wears his ring, but they aren't together I don't think, but I am sure some of their difficulties were from his not accepting what Stevie and the rest of the group did to him. Have some pride man!!
I think he does have a lot of pride, and that's what motivates him. He is probably trying to be the bigger person and just wants to complete the circle, without any more drama!

Mick posted yesterday he is in London writing and recording his album last song. I suppose the song is co-written with someone else, but who knows. Not excited about that album but it's good to read that they are still active. And yes I am curious about Lindsey collaboration, will it be just guitar tracks, or will he sing too?

You really believe Stevie uses Facebook?
If she had it would not have been her.

Me, either.

When one of them finally kicks the bucket, this ~now sad~geriatric, geezer soap opera can finally be over. Because it's both sad and stupid for 80yos to be doing this. Actually, it was stupid at 60, now it's just pathetic.

I wouldn't be so sure.
