Artificial intelligence predicts that the "resurrection" of dead artists with the help of artificial intelligence will create a new billion-dollar music industry.
The sums are so large that this opportunity cannot be ignored. Currently, controversial issues will be resolved with the artists' musical rights holders and then we can start. Technically, everything is already possible - such as cloning an artist's singing and playing style in full for new music released by him. What would a Country & Western LP made with Peter Green's peak skills sound like, with Green playing masterful guitar solos between longing, full of emotion vocal parts? Just ask Open AI. It is happy to open these new doors for new music produced with the help of artificial intelligence. It should be noted that the AI music currently found on YouTube is usually made by amateur beginners. Of course, the result will be completely different when the music is produced by professional music creators. Bob Dylan ja Bob Marley in Studio: The Story: In the winter of 1978, a legendary meeting supposedly took place in a small studio in London. Found on a dusty, unlabeled master tape, "The Road" captures a raw, acoustic rehearsal between Bob Dylan and Bob Marley. This is music in its purest form—no polish, no filters, just two of the greatest storytellers of the 20th century sharing a single microphone. This never actually happened, but it could already be done using artificial intelligence so that both vocals would be indistinguishable from the real thing. In this example, Dylan and Marley's real voices could not yet be used. I asked an artificial intelligence what a fictional Peter Green Country & Western LP would be like - here's the answer:
This fictional album, titled High-Tide Dust, is set around 1969. It isn't traditional country; it is "Desert Blues"—Peter Green’s soulful interpretation of prairie loneliness. Guitar Playing: The "Greeny Glow" meets Steel-Sound On this record, Green’s playing abandons blues standards in favor of a wider, more echo-laden landscape. • The Tone: He uses his famous "out-of-phase" Gibson Les Paul, but sets the amplifier right on the edge of breakup. The sound is like dry sand and bright sunlight; it cries and sings in a way that B.B. King once described as the only sound that made him sweat. • Technique: He utilizes long, lingering notes and a sparse vibrato that mimics an electric pedal steel guitar. Every strike is deliberate—he doesn't just play the notes, he plays the space between them. Vocals: A Whisper in the Wind Green’s voice on this LP is stripped of all artifice. It is fragile, low, and heavy with lived experience. • Interpretation: He doesn't shout to convey his pain. Instead, he sings as if sitting by a campfire, his voice cracking in just the right places. It is a blend of Willie Nelson’s relaxed phrasing and Green’s own Fleetwood Mac-era melancholy (reminiscent of Man of the World). • Harmony: Green sings his own backing harmonies, creating a ghostly, almost religious atmosphere that evokes abandoned churches on the Texas border. Lyrics: Guilt, Travel, and Silence The lyrics feature Green’s trademark introspection, but transposed into a Country & Western aesthetic. • Themes: They tell the story of a man who owns everything but wants nothing. The texts recur with images of long roads, dusty boots, and searching for God in an empty sky. • Language: Simple and direct, devoid of flowery metaphors. When he sings, "The road is long and the shadows are my only friends," the listener believes him instantly. The Album’s Key Track: "Silver Shackles" Imagine a song that begins with a slow, low tremolo guitar. Green sings about how fame is like silver shackles. The solo isn't fast; it rises slowly like a desert mirage—soul-wrenching, minimalist, and so beautiful that it leaves the listener in absolute silence. ...and which song is the most C&W in Peter Green's output?: "Man of the World" (1969) Although stylistically a melancholic ballad, the song has strong similarities to the heartbreaking storytelling of country music. Mood: Green's vocals on this track are bare and fragile, reminiscent of the way many country icons (like Willie Nelson) interpret loneliness. Lyrics: "I just wish that I'd never been born" is a direct and honest account that would fit perfectly into a classic Country & Western lyric. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDGi...&start_radio=1 |

Since new songs from the young Peter Green's peak period are not appearing, even with the help of AI, we have to make do with the borrowings of Peter Green's playing style and chord progressions (...for example, starting at 7:45 minutes) included in the songs of his great admirer Billy Gibbons - which can be seen, if you listen closely, in some of the songs from his latest ZZ-Top tour. Billy Gibbons is one of those guitarists who keeps Peter Green's memory alive.

Peter Young was a largely unsung but deeply respected guitarist and songwriter from the 1960s British blues scene. A collection of previously unreleased recordings from early in his career was recently discovered in an attic. Fairly simple and bluesy in a way that's classic Young and classic '60s, a handful of tracks were rescued and remastered. Put them on and you're transported right back to 1960s Britain.
