Big Love only did well because of the video and it was the first hit off the album, after the longest FM break between albums. It really didn't do much after it's release, like Everywhere and LL. (Which you can't get away from these songs, today.)

Seven Wonders isn't heard as much either. It did blow up during the TV show. But then it was dropped and faded away. I do hear Seven Wonders once in a blue moon on Sirius XM.

That's true. "The primary version of Fleetwood Mac's "Seven Wonders" on Spotify—the 2017 Remaster from the album Tango in the Night—has been streamed approximately \(210.6\) million times". I don't know how accurate is that info but it makes sense.

Definitely the Tango album was Christine's moment, in terms of singles and popularity.

Correct!
Big Love made it to #5 which is a huge hit. However of all the hits of the 1980s its a song you never hear anymore even on 80s channels. Its one of those hits that climbed the charts and then sort of disappeared. This is why I wish Isn't It Midnight was the first single. After waiting 5 years for a new Mac song it would have cracked the top 10. Seven Wonders? Forget about it. It barely cracked the top 20. However Everywhere which only made it to #14 in the States is still regularly heard. They had to share the wealth I suppose because the first 3 singles from Tango could of been Chris songs. Speaking of Chris its sad they limit her hit success on the new Greatest Hits release to include fewer known songs by Stevie and Lindsey just to share the scene so to speak.
Big Love was pretty much a Lindsey solo song on the album. But Lindsey devoted so much time to the album how could you not give him the lead off single.

So it was just released yesterday. 9 Christine songs out of 23. 8 Stevie's, 5 Lindsey's. And The Chain.

I would have released Eyes of the World as a single instead of Oh Diane in 1982. I think EOTW was his best Mirage song.

If someone buy it, tell us if there are cool not already known pictures in the cd book, or LP sleeves.

Just got my CD version and will listen shortly. Don't expect to hear many differences in terms of what's already been out there. The silver lining around the cover is humorous given the things that have happened with this band, particularly in the past 10 or so years. One thing I noticed and maybe I'm reading too much into this is the big photo of the band in the room with Billy and Rick which is on the back of the LP is relegated to the pithy booklet. For what's supposed to be a "Deluxe Edition" I would expect a bigger booklet that would at least help explain why it was necessary to expand an greatest hits album that's nearly 40 years old.

As far as the photo, I think it would have been fit nicely as the centerpiece between the two discs since it is a tri-fold digipak. I can see not having it on the back since it has the playlist for both discs.

Also something kind interesting but not that important, As Long As You Follow clocks in on the Deluxe Edition at 4:09 compared to the original release at 4:10. No Questions Asked is 4:42 compared to the original at 4:41. I didn't check the time comparisons of the other songs on Disc 1.

No Questions Asked??? REALLY????

I think Lindsey did himself no favors in a way stripping BigLove down to an acoustic live version taking the "ensemble piece and making it a solo piece" because it let the FM version just fade away.

At this point it feels like more people love and know and respond to Holiday Road than the full production of Big Love and that's a real shame. [ETA no I am NOT suggesting Holiday Road should be on the FM greatest hits rofl)

And don't forget one of the initial attention-getting factors on the FM version was the grunts that got everyone guessing who made them...and speculating it was Stevie ROFL

and no Second Hand News?? But Sandy Stewart made it with Seven Wonders??

I really don’t get this release. The versions of Very Best of…. pretty much cover all bases so I’m not really sure of the need to update GH. Other than an opportunity to eke out a few extra bucks.

I've heard that song so few times that I don't even remember what it sounds like anymore. But it's in the original release so I think it's right that they're including it in this.

They should have included Save Me. And also any single from the SYW album, though there were no "hits" from that album. Even Save Me could not be considered a hit (if there is a unique definition of hit) but at least I think it reached the top 40.

I sense some bias against Chris because she had most of the hits. So they included the live version of Big Love instead of the studio version?

I get they included Oh Diane since it was a hit in the UK. But how do they leave off Love In Store and Save Me. Both were released as singles and charted well into the top 40.
Why the live version of Silver Springs? You can get that on The Dance. I think if you include Silver Springs it should be the B side version.

They were pressed with space on the original with only being one disc. A few missed opportunities IMHO.
