Per Gurr:
“Fake News” was a direct response to what was going on (and still is) politically at the time, and the growing gap I feel between people leaning both left and right. I think with press and algorithms, we are only fed the kind of news we already believe in and agree with, which is super dangerous. The song then connects that to an experience I had when we visited the the BBC for an interview with Huw Stephens. We went inside and there was this gigantic newsroom with so many screens but no windows at all. I found that a bit disturbing: Like here’s the people making the news and they can’t look outside.

I just started to watch HBO's One to One John & Yoko. Interesting doc, but when Yoko starts to sing (well, let's say she sings) "Don't Worry Kyoko (Mummy's Only Looking For Her Hand In The Snow)", it made me remember we discussed long ago in The Ledge about her as an artirst. There were some ledgies who liked her as a singer. Well, she may be a good artist (painting, sculpture, etc). But as a singer, I still respectfully but radically disagree.

I still wonder if they were killing a cat.

The past two years, I've really got into Toto. Definitely my second favorite band behind FM now.

Listening non-stop to Wolf Alice, a British, female vocalist ‘indie’ rock band. In particular, been listening to their recent fourth album ‘The Clearing’.
They are brilliant

I'm now watching last night concert of Pet Shop Boys at Vina del Mar festival. ESPECTACULAR. The today headlines say they made history last night at Quinta Vergara (Chile). They actually did.
