This is my third Norwegian cruise, and they always have a Rumours tribute band night, where the band plays every song from the album, in sequential order(plus Silver Springs- which BTW, was NOT on Rumours, for those of you possessing Old Goat logic). It's by far the most popular show on the cruise(they only do it one night, and usually two consecutive shows, since it sells out the 600 person theater). I'll be guzzling cabernet like Christine in her heyday!, singing along at the top of my lungs!

B sides don't count.

Cause in my experience a B side is enough related to an album, even if it wasn't included on it. I didn't by the Rumours album in 1977. But we had the YMLF single at home because my older brother bought it. I remember I liked to play it, also side B, Gold Dust Woman. At that moment I didn't know the complete track list of the album, I was only 11 and I don't think I identified the album cover, but I read the name Rumours in the record, so I knew which album was this single from, both songs. So anyone who bought the GYOW single could hear SS and think that it was a Rumours song, just reading the label in the 45 rpm record, and didn't buy the album. Or at least learned it belongs to the Rumours "universe", if they got the album later. Yes I suppose SS wasn't played much on the radio and I don't think it was on the charts in 1977, but it counts somehow.

Sometimes they are not: Ricky, SS, Cool Water, or a live cut, etc. But, SS will never in my mind be a part of the actual Rumours' album. I don't really like the studio version very much. I do think of it as part of The Dance. I think it's optimal in that moment in time.

Agreed, although some people use dingbat logic.

Agree! That's when LB gets crazy. Or, GYOW he sometimes does the head butt to the chest! For sure that's the Tusk tour.

But the studio version is beautiful too. So when they included the 6:08 version in the 2004 Rumours Expanded CD 2, and the 5:32 early take in the 2013 Rumours More From The Recording Sessions [Disc 3], I was more than happy.

IT DOES NOT, In live Landslide versions. uhhhh don't get me started. I would still say Sister's of the Moon (Mirage Tour HBO video) is the most intense and vibrant performance she's ever done. Blows away the Tusk Studio track. Even blows away the Tusk Live versions. Just my subjective opinion. As Christine once said, "Others may disagree!"

Although I admit that The Dance's Dreams isn't one of my favorites. With her voice back then, and her current one, it's hard to make it sound good compared to the original. But yes it is an unfair comparision. You can't fight time. The Stevie's voice of the 70s and early 80s could never return.

I don't remember seeing this photo before. It's from Billy's Instagram, "Gig for homeless LA 1985".
Christine, Mick and Jacson Browne are there. Mick looks like wearing a neck brace . The two girls in the first line looks like Molly Ringwald and Belinda Carlslile, but I'm not sure. Do you recognize others? And does anybody know the story behind that gig?https://www.instagram.com/p/CFX81e_BOJR/ ![]()
