This week on SiriusXm Big 80s countdown: This week November 28, 1987

Little Lies drops to #23. It would be the last time Chris, Lindsey, and Stevie's voice would make the top 10.

Love Will Find A Way by YES which was originally written for Stevie Nicks moves up to #30

This Dolores version of GYOW appeared in my IG. The Cranberries version was the track I liked the most, maybe along with Dreams by The Corrs on that Legacy Rumours Tribute CD that must be gathering dust and cobwebs somewhere, cause I don't even remember the rest of the tracks, except for Elton's Don't Stop which I thought was the worst of all.

Yes Elton mailed in that version of Don't Stop. I was excited to hear it but like you was disappointed. Have not listened to that CD in over 25 years. I remember Gold Dust Woman being the best track.

Silver Springs on Classic Rewind

I know the Dance version gets much love around here but nothing can capture the beauty of the bridge on the original recording. Lindsey's guitar just screams emotion.

Yesterday heard Gold Dust Woman and immediately after that Magnet and Steel. (same channel)

Oh I love both. Yes the Dance version was magical to me specially with those looks between them at the end. Yeah well at that moment it was so emotional, not that I thought they would be together but that they were just special friends again, care each other or something like that; anyway now it's Yeah sure, to say the least and being polite.

But the original version is beautiful. The first time I heard it was when I got the 25 years boxset. And then the Rumours Expanded included a 6:08 version, and the 2013 Rumours: More From The Recording Sessions [Disc 3] release included an early take. Sometimes I listen the five different tracks (including the Boston CD track) I have in a row.

Yes all true. The original version is a masterpiece. Stevie sounds so fragile and heart broken. Chris and Lindsey playing around each other and Lindsey's guitar during the solo almost makes you cry. We feel her pain.
The Dance the vocal is more direct and full of passion. She's not fragile anymore and sounds like a stalking possessive woman.

It's different to hear her now that she's gone. I get extra emotional.

There IS NO FM without her. I hope they never try to bring back what's left.

She indeed was Fleetwood Mac. Heart, glue, and soul.

I'm sure it was the original version, right?

If they did it on the Tusk tour, I didn't know it(nor do I remember, since I didn't know the song). But once Live came out, it's been a favorite, ever since.

My band used to do a more rocking version(didn't have all the drum breaks in it), by a band called The Rockets.

This was unexpected to me, though it is not the usual "unexpectedly I heard Fleetwood Mac...".

I just heard Roy Orbison died on dec 6 1988, so two days ago it has been 37 years. I looked for details of Mystery Girl, his last album. And to my surprise I read Burnette and Vito as additional musician in a pair of tracks. Even Mike Campbell collaborated too (though that 2018 lineup was not Fleetwood Mac to me ).

I loved Roy and Traveling Wilburys songs.

Was screening the film, Jay Kelly (George Clooney). One scene, in a bar, Tango In the Night was playing in the background. (Title track)
