That is great. It may sound weird, since that was more than a year after Mirage was released, but in other countries that happens sometimes.

Private Idaho is a B-52's song from 1980, and I remember listening it that year, but it became a huge hit in 1983. Actually it was played with Party Out of Bounds, from a 1981 remix, but it became popular in 1983. I don't know why so late, it reached #1 in local charts that summer.

I thought so, too. But apparently it was not only released in Jamaica as a 45 RPM, but in the US as well (1982).

What a little known fact. But it makes sense because Oh Diane was the 4th single and charted well in the UK.
