Default Buckingham Nicks reissue is just the album.

No demos, no live, no single version of “Crying In The Night”, just the album.

Is that not what they promised would happen someday?
52 years to get the reissue of the album. You think people are searching for demos and extras?
This should have been reissued in the 1980s. Stevie has always said she never understood why it was not reissued.
I think its borderline troll to complain there's no extras.
But I love you anyway Steve.

Eh, I guess.

It’s just that Rhino reissues are usually more robust packages.

I agree. Not to mention all the hype that preceded the news of the rerelease. I guess I expected more based on all that. I think everyone, including Stevie and Lindsey’s handlers, were probably surprised at the huge reaction their social media posts received. I hope Rhino will at least include a booklet with photos and interviews.

I agree, I was hoping for more too. I think given the fact these two haven't spoken (to our knowledge), in almost a decade, and they've scorched each other in the press, their teams knew exactly the kind of reaction the social media posts were going to receive, particularly by having Mick kick it all off. They certainly have great marketing teams working for them!

Lets have 9 remixes of Stephanie

I think remixes or demos would distract from the album. I want to hear its crisp original sounds on CD. The way it was released. Keep the original album cover too. I want to pretend its 1973 all over again. The excitement is the original album is being issued in original form. Putting the gloss of 2025 on the album sort of ruins it for me. Some want a new album cover with a new Stevie? That makes no sense. I also dont want anything re-recorded. Please let me enjoy this the way it was released without the demands of what clever record companies do to older albums trying to make a buck.

I am curious. Does anyone here own an original Buckingham Nicks album? I know there are countless bootlegs but originals are rare. You can import the bootleg album from Japan easily. I imagine the collectors hate this reissue because it hurts the value of their own. For example, this original sealed cassette of Buckingham Nicks is for sale on Ebay for $100.00

Fingers crossed that the extras will be on a Rhino exclusive version only offered on their website. It’s hard to believe they would do all this hype for an album only release.

Aren't all those bootlegs? You can get a bootleg of just about anything. I have Christine McVie live in concert in Jackson NJ. Professional sound but its a bootleg and nothing official. Most Buckingham Nicks stuff for sale on the internet are bootlegs. This release is completely different in that its original.

The “Big Pink” bootleg release sounds amazing and is clearly not sourced from vinyl. It also included bonus material. So many folks already have this. Rhino will probably do really well on the vinyl reissue, but they’re really falling short on the CD/Digital editions if it’s only the album and no extras.

I always see that for sale on Ebay imported from Japan. I wonder myself. If its not sourced from vinyl what do you think its sourced from? Someone snuck out the tapes from Polydore?
Do you own it? Did you see my link from above a sealed Buck/Nicks cassette goes for $100. But that price is soon to drop.

Yes I own the big pink release. I can’t confirm any of this but it’s been said that a flat transfer of the masters was done when they initially thought of releasing it back in 2013. Allegedly a CD of that flat transfer got into the wrong hands and is actually the source for at least one of the bootlegs floating around.

Agreed. Seems lame for a Rhino package. Was not expecting that.

Im disappointed if this is the case. I do however have the original vinyl and cassette of the release a great quality boot cd, a live concert and several of the demos on the Coffee Plant demo cd…..I was hoping there was maybe some other gems but maybe not.

I thought it is a bootleg. But it is available in iTunes, I just checked. I thought iTunes sell only official editions.
