If that was her goal, in my case she failed, cause what I only remember, after 16 years, was reading a gossip book filled with bitterness, except for some interesting anecdotes like when she told they went to a party at Eric Clapton house, before Rumours became a phenomenon, so Lindsey and Stevie were amazed to be invited to the home of an icon like Eric. The english members were already used to it but for L&S it was something completely new.

And the last paragraph when she finish the book with a phrase like saying goodbye to that crazy thing called Fleetwood Mac. Can't remember the exact words but it was something like that. Practically that's all I remember of Carol's book.

More interesting was Bob Brunning 1998 book, Fleetwood Mac: The First 30 Years. I lost that book but I remember enjoy reading how they met the latest members, the BTM days, etc.

I'm not planning to buy the book but if I learn there is stuff like that, I guess it would be a book of gossip and inventions mixed with some true episodes.
I think of Christine and Stevie’s relationship like two coworkers who’ve shared the same office for 30 years. They’ve had plenty of lunches and more than a few glasses of wine together over the years. But deep down, Sheila knows Paula has a batsh*t crazy streak, and she’s spent decades quietly making sure she doesn’t end up on her bad side. They don’t talk on weekends, they don’t vacation together—and there’s a good reason for that.

They actually did travel a bit together before Tusk. I believe they took some trips to Hawaii. But, as the fame crept in, the true personalities came forward, Stevie became a posse walking solo ego. Christine remained Fleetwood Mac. (Which was bat **** crazy all on its own! )

I agree. I think they were genuine pals while living together in Sausalito. But over time their lives took different paths, as far as friendship is concerned.
