yeah, they were doing coke lol. john looks bored to tears, may as well screw around to pass the time. stevie was far cheerier in those outdoor shoots than the indoor ones... although there is that one where she's all over the place and chris has to pull her back into the picture. those videos are always interesting.

Yes. The first seconds at 3:16 I thought Oh, so tender how Stevie hugs John. But then... hey, enough, enough. They were definitely out of orbit.

Tusk is a great album but I despise the photoshoots. They always look extremely wasted. This shoot even made the album and even as a kid I was confused why they could not clean up for an album insert photo shoot. This is not the only Tusk photo shoot on youtube. There are others that are equally as bad. Stevie looks like a witch. This was 1979 when the band was about to release Tusk and still in the Rumours limelight and on top of the world. Total decadence with everything including drugs. Someone posted a Tusk interview recently with Lindsey and Stevie and it does not get mentioned much but their relationships were far more out of control during Tusk than Rumours. Stevie was dumped by Mick for Stevie's best friend. Stevie was dating an Tusk studio engineer which pissed off Lindsey. Chris was with the insane Dennis Wilson. Lindsey was very angry in the studio much of the time according to Stevie. Lindsey said he had to trick the band and say he was going to the restroom and just leave and go home. This was the band at their peak gluttony and it showed. Post Tusk tour they all got separate managers and by the early 80s at least a few band members cleaned up their act. For Rumours creativity fueled them but drugs fueled their energy which made them feel more creative. For Tusk drugs just fueled them and no one dared say no to any of their demands. They were blowing through boatloads of money. I suppose it was probably like herding cats just to get them to do this photoshoot.
