And then, that they got her a TRAINER. How embarrassing.

•Both McVie and Fleetwood enlisted personal trainers to get them into shape. (Her flat is littered with dumbbells and a large blue exercise ball.) "The aim is to be fit enough to stand up for two and a half hours balancing on one foot, which is what I do," she says, playing an air keyboard to demonstrate her stage position. "I'm all occupied.”
•From Farias Fitness: Fleetwood Mac In 2013 I was introduced by some of my clients to Mick Fleetwood, the drummer from my lifelong favorite band, Fleetwood Mac. After a few meetings and particularly memorable paddleboard lesson, I sent Mick a coaching strategy outlining a plan for a 45-lb weight loss, reduced arthritis, and getting into “fighting shape” for an upcoming world tour. Not long after embarking on my “Eat Clean” lifestyle change, Mick was reaching his weight loss goals, feeling better than ever, performing with a new youthful vigor, and had talked Christine McVie out of retirement and into returning to the band. Christine had never worked with a trainer or nutritionist before but could not have been more motivated to get “stage ready”, knowing the endurance required for the upcoming 130 show world tour. I trained both of them every day and cooked all their meals. The fitness and wellness transformations I achieved with them led to an invitation to cook for and train with them on the world tour. Quite simply, it was a once in a lifetime experience of luxurious travel with the most dedicated musicians, friends, and tour group imaginable. •“Stevie told me I had to get in shape, because the road was grueling,” McVie told the New Yorker, “and I said, ‘Stevie, you must recall that I was in the band before you were. I know how hard the road is.’” Ultimately, though, McVie did begin working with a trainer. •Stevie Nicks has shared her own exercise routine Nicks says that in order to keep in shape for tours, she spends time on the treadmill (Stand Back!) and Power Plate. This is a machine that sends up to 50 vibrations per second through a person’s body to activate muscles. |

Nothing embarrassing about having a trainer or getting shape. I just thought it was cringe when they would tell this story on stage and SN would include that she also suggested Chris get a trainer. And Chris did...insert applause.
"The aim is to be fit enough to stand up for two and a half hours balancing on one foot, which is what I do" ^^ Neat approach!

It’s sad to know that after changing her lifestyle by working with a trainer and adopting a healthy diet, she would still become sick. Not saying those things stayed intact after touring, I have no idea. But to take that concentrated effort and then to still get ill is heartbreaking. I know that it happens and it’s mostly comes down to hereditary and genetics. But it’s just all very sad for someone that brought joy to so many people to have had to endure.

I have a faint suspicion that it will be a troubled project with a possible non-release.
The idea of a batch of songs about her exes is intriguing. But once again the fabled RHIANNON album withers on the Vine of Unmet Expectations and shrivels on the Bloom of Professional Duplicity, while the Weeds of Empty Promises threaten to overrun Stevie’s Garden of Unearthly Delights. (Sorry, I am speaking in allegories today.)

A potential update on the album, although I haven't seen any other publications report on this. Stevie's designer Margi Kent was interviewed about her attire and image and also briefly spoke about The Ghost Record. Here's the excerpt in question.
Kent has heard Nicks’ new album — due for release in 2026 — and reports it has the “energy of ‘Bella Donna,’ which is pretty amazing after all these years … it was a very emotional listening party.” Nicks wrote the album, which she calls “The Ghost Record,” while she spent three months in a hotel after fleeing the Los Angeles fires. https://www.aarpethel.com/lifestyle/...on-groove-back |

I think it's great this album is going to see the light of day. We were all skeptical. BUT--I have to say it, since it's her designer that's spilling the tea, shall we hope they are designing a new wardrobe for the tour for the new album? Or for the photo shoot for the album cover. Sorry was that mean. Margi--it's getting stale, shake it up a bit. Pick a new lane. Stop dressing her in tents with fringe. |

so.....there was the Rhiannon project.....
there was a rumor at one point about a second vault album... then it was going to be album of songs about exes..... now she somehow wrote a whole album about/during the fires?? ![]() if it's a bunch of songs like the Kennedys and that Dave Grohl collaboration about heroin and even the lighthouse song all of which I found droning and tedious and uninspired....heaven help us. you know, billy joel recently decided he was done writing songs because he'd pretty much said whatever he wanted to say and had the insight to realize he'd run out of new ideas...and was just repeating himself.... maybe someone else needs to realize she needs to stick with the golden oldies most of which are already beyond her abilities anymore.... she is NOT mick jagger who can still pull off most (not all) of the stones' hits and genuinely dance around a stage her songs lately have just been her meandering thoughts in frankly rough draft form that she refuses to polish and refine because she thinks every brain fart is genius and refuses to consider otherwise. it's really getting rather sad.

Fair point, but man it's really stale. At least during "Say You Will" We got the cardigan to break up the skirts and the jackets. Now, break out the black curtain skirt, the black handkerchief skirt, the black sailor jacket, the black bolero jacket, let's not forget all the black leggings underneath the skirts, oh yes and the black fingerless gloves

I am not sure who changed so much, Stevie or me. I just seem to find myself drifting away from her music both old and new. Its a huge turn off to listen to her rambling on stage, in interviews etc.
i totally understand that she is an entertainer- it is a schtick- Stevie Nicks at home is not the Stevie Nicks we see. But when I watch the old interviews and shows where she is high as a kite, happy, funny, moved on stage like she was an ethereal being and magical all rolled into one bundle of beautiful cosmic energy I say to myself that is the Stevie I love. That Stevie is gone and never coming back. Whoever is guiding her to do the crack dance and wear ramen noodle hair and ramble on stage like a three year old in need of attention is not doing her any favors. I find myself finally letting go. After 50 years, I just can not watch this anymore…something has faded away.

What was new and excellent in 2011? “For What It’s Worth,” “Moonlight,” “You May Be the One,” and “In Your Dreams.” I have, quite frankly, forgotten “Wide Sargasso Sea” and “Italian Summer.” They were overreaches. She wanted grand romantic landscapes, like “Sara,” but they were pissers. And “New Orleans” as a form of collective therapy for a damaged city is an embarrassment. I would say that “In Your Dreams” is by far her best song since 2011. It would have been a great addition to Mirage or Tango. (It even has a great bridge.)
