Default Heroes on Hungarian “Physical Albums” Chart

Here’s a fascinating bit of trivia. Heroes are Hard to Find peaked this year at position 12 on the Hungarian Physical Albums chart—above Pink Floyd and Joni Mitchell.

That's an interesting but really weird list. Since I see David Gilmour, Dua Lipa, Taylor Swift and Cold Play, it seems it's a general list and not focused on a specific genre of music, decade, etc.

Then it's weird to see In Your Dreams in the top. If I had a vinyl record player, I'd look for a classic Beatles album for example, or a best/classic CD album from any legend band/singer of the CDs years (with the old long box).

Though I used the translator (to find the reject cookies button), I didn't research beyond the list page, to see how it was made.

Yes, I should have said weird to see In Your Dreams in the top list. Though 28 is not on the peak zone of a top 40 list, it surprise me it is in that list anyway. And higher than a Taylor Swift album? Not that I'm fan of her, but I thought I think Taylor has more fans nowadays than Stevie.

And higher than Dark Side of the Moon? That's pretty weird. And talking about PF, also weird Wish You Were Here and The Wall aren't even on the list. Well, they are on mine.

Sh1t, I can't stand her, but Taylor is worth probably 20 times what Old Goatsy is.

That definitely is a wild piece of trivia. There has to be a reason why though. I could not find anything but the Hungary 2024 chart peak is on the wikipedia page,

I would like to remind the haters that BTM was a #1 album in Greece and the UK.

Somehow that doesn't surprise me. Not because I do like BTM (not as much as the previous albums), but because local charts can vary considerably on different places, for many reasons. I remember unknown old songs that went N.1 here, just because they were played in a local tv show and then all radios started to play them. And remember Buckingham Nicks, while it wasn't commercially successful and was soon deleted from the label's catalog, it was a success in Birmingham, Alabama.

In 2023, Christine McVie's self-titled 1984 also appeared on the same chart, reaching number 39.

That's a wild list. Metallica album from the 1980s.
Its like they are rediscovering music from the 70s and 80s.

Listening to HAHTF. I do love Fleetwood Mac. I will say which I have said before, the “Band” has always been my favorite vs. solo stuff from any of them. Even though I own all of their solo stuff.
