Default Mark Needham dissects the production of Feel About You

For those who like super technical breakdowns of stuff.

Mark Needham talks working with the band for what became the BuckVie album and goes through all the tracks and recording process for the song Feel About You.

I remember finding that article when doing preparations for a Buckingham McVie podcast. Sound on Sound often has very high quality articles on songs, and I found it unusual that "Feel About You" was the focus of the article. There's a nice mention of Mick Fleetwood's cocktail drum kit (the one he used on "Say You Love Me" for The Dance tour.) This article illustrates the extensive amount of overdubbing that took place on just one song (76 tracks for backing vocals alone).

Sound on Sound also did a write-up on "Go Your Own Way" a while back. Rumours was also discussed at length.

So many tracks and overdubs—a far cry from “I’d Rather Go Blind”—or even “Say You Love Me.”

But the song is as much a testament to the cleverness of its production as it is a testament to Christine’s continued song craft. I know Lindsey gets a co-write here for “undermining” her original demo to such an extent that she either generously offered a co-writing credit or he insisted on it, but even he has said the song is essentially hers.
