She can write whatever she likes in her poetry and songs...she can even regret her decision to not have children if that's how she feels, though that doesn't seem to reflect how she feels today. But no, having an abortion is not the same thing as killing a child, and people like you making dangerous false equivalencies are responsible for creating an environment where people are shot and killed for providing abortion services.

Michael Moore wrote an op ed piece, I just saw on Twitter about Stevie and her performance and how important it was and Stevie responded back thanking him and urging people to vote. I think the more I listen to this song and especially her great performance on SNL shows how an entertainer can make a difference. They are American too and vote and this is still a free country. I am proud of her for making a stand. Abortion should be a private thing between the woman and her doctor not decided by lawmakers who don't know or care about the situation

Some chart info for The Lighthouse

https://www.forbes.com/sites/hughmci...le-in-america/

Stevie Nicks isn’t known as one of the more prolific musicians from her generation. She was involved in some truly massive hits and albums for decades, both as a member of Fleetwood Mac and then on her own, but these days, she’s largely focused on her past material.

Her somewhat sparse release schedule means that whenever she does share anything new, people pay attention. Nicks’ fans quickly latched onto her latest single, “The Lighthouse,” and they turned the cut into a quick smash in the U.S.

“The Lighthouse” debuts on a pair of Billboard charts this frame. The single brings Nicks back to the highest tier on one of the two tallies it reaches, and it’s another big win on the second roster.

Nicks debuts “The Lighthouse” at No. 5 on the Rock Digital Song Sales chart. The tune marks her fifth solo top 10 hit on Billboard’s list of the bestselling rock-only tracks in the nation.

Somewhat surprisingly, it hasn’t been very long since Nicks last collected a top 10 smash on the rock sales ranking. In the spring of 2023, she joined Gorillaz on their tune “Oil,” which spent one week at No. 8 on the chart.

“The Lighthouse” also reaches the all-genre Digital Song Sales roster. On that even more competitive chart, Nicks starts her latest offering at No. 17. Luminate reports that in its first tracking period, the single sold a little more than 3,100 copies throughout the U.S.

Nicks earns her fourth solo placement on the Digital Song Sales chart this week. “The Lighthouse” is her third-highest-rising appearance, and it marks her first new win on the tally since “For What It’s Worth” peaked at No. 42 in 2022. Since then, Billboard has shortened the list, as it now features just 25 spaces.

“The Lighthouse” starts its time on the Rock Digital Song Sales roster as the second-loftiest debut. It comes in behind only Timcast and Phil Labonte’s “Coming Home,” which is new at No. 2. Over on the all-style Digital Song Sales list, Nicks introduces her single behind fellow new arrivals from Carrie Underwood and Cody Johnson, The Weeknd and Playboi Carti, and the aforementioned Timcast and Labonte.

That is false. People are responsible for their own actions. Also, this song is about voting. Voting is making a decision that are in your best interest. That implies a Democratic process where people with different opinions have different viewpoints make a decision and act upon it. If we’re all supposed to have the same opinion about the same thing then we would not have a Democratic process of making decisions therefore in a forum such as this on a subject that is divisive, such as this people are allowed to have disagreements and make decisions that are reflective of their viewpoints. in terms of how that relates to Stevie, she opened herself up to scrutiny by writing and publishing and recording and distributing a song and doing interviews about a very touchy subject that people would have to make a choice. For people that claim to be pro-choice, they sure do like to suppress the viewpoints and opinions of others.

And actually, Stevie was NOT the one who made her private, reproductive history public. That was done to her by a MAN.... and yes, we're looking at YOU, Don Henley. He had no business putting that out in public, but he did.

And btw, do we know whether he encouraged her to terminate the pregnancy? offer to pay for it for her? (not that she couldn't afford it, not what I meant), or did he say hey, I'll raise this kid by myself if you give birth? Hmm... let's ponder that for a minute. What do you think? Yet where is anyone giving him ****? You can always wear a condom, or get a vasectomy.... ugh. The sexism and misogyny is so pervasive.

Don Henley sucks. I believe it was in the book "I Want My MTV: the Uncensored Story of the Music Video Revolution" that tells the story of him throwing a fit backstage at the VMAs in the late eighties because he had lost an award. And a producer who knew he was set to win a different award later in the evening could only get him to calm down and return to his seat by hinting that he would be getting a different award later.

I'd say the Don Henley, Glenn Frey, AND Stevie Nicks all suck. Can you tell me anyone who was more self absorbed, than those three? They are/were all horrible people.

I guess the biggest difference is that men can still start families when they're 50-60, so their late lives are far different. And I'll take that to my grave, that THAT'S why Stevie hates Lindsey so much. He achieved the life she was no longer capable of having.

Did anyone notice that there was nothing about reproductive freedom in her SNL performance? The music video was not represented in her performance. There was just pictures of a lighthouse.

Your, negative, opinions/statements are simply that, and your constant need to air them here doesn't help anyone who comes to the The Ledge for a reprieve from the/ their hectic pace of life.

I'm sorry that your opinion of Stevie has changed so much over the years. Also, that you feel that Stevie hates Lindsey! (In your words, above.) Has she told you that personally, or even said so in an interview? If not, you shouldn't be speaking for her. As for your negative opinions about Lindsey even considering performing with Stevie and Mick again. Lindsey is first and foremost a musician and a great one at that. He is known for referencing his belief in 'circles' and should be able to have the chance of closing this 'circle,' if he wants to! As always, just my opinion.

SNL did nothing to help The Lighthouse - it did not chart on the new Hot 100 that was announced today.

New Billboard Hot 100 chart out today and The Lighthouse did not chart. It's very surprising considering how much media Stevie has done for this song.
