Default 'Rolling Stone Magazine' review of 'Mirage' Aug. 19, 1982)

As a longtime fan, I've accumulated a bunch of original articles and stuff over the years, which I'll photograph/scan to share.

Review for 'Mirage'.

I will never forget the line "sounds great over sunset with a bottle of fine wine"
I can see the comparison the reviewer makes from Only Over You and Over My Head.
Wish You Were Here sounds like Jackson Browne with bad words? LOL ok

I really loved the Rolling Stone "Happy At The Top" interview with the band minus Stevie "over the advice of her manager." They really stirred the pot with stuff like that and Christine's "someone actually handed me (a stuffed animal), usually Stevie gets that kind of stuff."
But everything from the Mirage era was drama filled.

I remember this review the first time out. At the time, I couldn't understand why the reviewer thought "That's Alright" was a better song than "Gypsy." Now I can, even though I still love "Gypsy" far more. The lyric for "That's Alright" is so damn good!

Likening Christine to the Alberta Hunter of the future was amusing, if a bit hyperbolic.

The lyrics for 'That's Alright' are fantastic. Love this song.

Thanks for posting. A bonus: Parke Puterbaugh’s review of Under the Big Black Sun!
