Why be sorry? It's just the truth. And actually it’s no big deal, IMHO. How many 70s 80s stars still sell millions? I guess just a few. Just for example I was checking Elton John's latest albums and obviously sales can't be compared when he was a young mega star. It seems The Lockdown Sessions is the only one who has sold millions lately. And my guess is that largely thanks to Dua Lipa.

Of course I was referring to four decades ago. Where did I imply otherwise? I guess since I'm so old that my fandom predates most people's that still post on here 40 years does not seem like such a long time .Stevie was pretty apolitical back then. I remember a Bella Donna era Playboy interview where she said that she did not need to be a feminist and told Jackson Browne that he should stay in his own lane when he was doing anti-nuke protests.

I just spit out my coffee laughing. Truly, that's the most hilarious thing I've read in a long time. Thousands/millions of people believed Hillary Clinton was in the basement of a pizza shop doing nefarious things via their own independent research and thought. OK.

I hear you. It seems like yesterday.

But she's done a complete 180 on the issues you brought up, and I don't believe it has ANYTHING to do with her caring about the world, because she's a narcissist's narcissist. IT. HAS. TO. DO. WITH. HER. DESPERATELY. TRYING. TO. REMAIN. RELEVANT.

Moderators, could we perhaps have a moment to ask that this stay on topic and not devolve into yet another left/right argument here? Thanks from all of us who are already sick of the political circus and seek entertainment as an escape from this sort of thing.

I agree, 100%. On fakebook, I hand out 30 day naps like Halloween candy, left and right. That's right, left AND right. If all they can do is complain about politics, "enjoy your nap!"

Respectfully, let me make sure I’m understanding you correctly. It’s ok to complain that an artist is releasing politically driven material, call them any number of things….BUT any mention of the political situation the material mentions or pertains to is out of bounds and those people should be banned for 30 days? It's ok for you to express your displeasure about the topic, it's ok for anyone to agree with you and continue on that line of thought along with you, but suddenly it's not ok for others with a slightly different take? Then suddenly it becomes "complaining about politics"? Did I leave anything out?

This has actually been a pretty civil conversation. I know where all of the ALL CAPS posts are coming from - it’s not me.

It is a blurred line on this topic, since they've never been a political band(not counting Clinton inauguration), and all of the sudden it's a forced topic here, due to this song.

I'm saying that on Facebook, I want to see your pork chop and your puppy. Bitch about politics, ON EITHER SIDE, and I'm removing you from my feed.

...it sounds like if we go by your rule book and applied it here at the ledge, you would have "snoozed" yourself LOLOLOL.

And hey, if my opinion bothered you so much that you would like to block all of my posts from here on out - you do you.

Read your previous post to me, then tell me "you do you".

I said I snooze people on fb because I don't want to read their politics. I never mentioned doing that here, nor blocking people.

Now, you do you...

I must have misunderstood your comment about people taking "30 day naps" and "handing them out left and right" while agreeing that a moderator here at the ledge should step in.

Since there is an "ignore list" available to all members of the ledge, I don't understand the outcry and drama going on about this.

Oh yeah, the guy you hate. I forgot about him ever being in the band.

I think you did misunderstand. My god, do y'all not SNOOZE people on FB?

Snoozeworthy things?
Politics.
People who post 50 times a day.
Politics.
"I'm madly in love".
Politics.

And there really is no modding here anymore. I mean, once in a blue moon when Michele pops in, but that's about it. I LOATHE politics, and WISH they were modded out of here.
