My favorite Stevie quote:

Quote:
Any man I ever went out with called the place Fantasyland.
LOL!!!

(This was right before she moved into her Marina del Rey condo, which sat right on the beach by a parking lot — it was completely accessible to the public.)

Early references to “Gypsy” and “Goldfish and Ladybug” in this article.

Do you happen to have an address or GoogleMaps coordinates for that condo? Thanks.

I could be mistaken but I believe the Fantasyland house was at 1475 Doheny Dr.

She was in the Hollywood Hills in 1978–79, the house where Vilma Banky lived on El Contento Drive. She had a spectacular view of the hills. During that time, I think she also spent time at 101 Ocean Avenue, maybe renting. But she moved to Venice Beach/Marina del Rey in 1981. There are so many little streets on those alleys that I can’t remember. I think she lived on the two-story condo at the very end of Windward Avenue, right on the (public) beach. That was where Neal Preston took all those shots of her on the roof in her Rhiannon white chiffon and where part of her Edge of Seventeen video was shot. It was Windward or Eastwind or . . . I cannot remember.

Here’s the Hollywood Hills home — veddy nice.

this is significantly upgraded since she lived in it. Especially the backyard. But still great views.

I love how ****y Lindsey is toward The Eagles.

It seems the layout people for the magazine were going for some weird hand(s)-to-the-head motif for the photographs chosen. I'm not sure what that was supposed to be conveying. Like they are all deep in thought or in mental pain. I could go on about the gross red, orange, and purple cover too. This looked good to people????

Is that house in the Redfin link supposed to be the Tudor house mentioned in the article? I must not know what a Tudor house is because it looks nothing like Tudor to me.

Wow, I didn't now she spent time at 101 Ocean back in those days. Do you have any more information on that/context?

1355 Angelo Drive, of course, is the OSOTM house.

She was also at 17452 Revello Pacific Palisades, CA 90272, in the 90s...

And this one, is where the promo pics from 2005/6 were taken. Perhaps she was here during TISL? 17411 Positano Rd, Pacific Palisades, CA.

Back to Marina Del Rey, it looks like 1 Westwind may have been her building. I'm not certain; I am still investigating.

Thank you again, I have been hunting for this condo for the longest.
