But the MUSIC kicks serious ass. It's a perfect rock song.

Bella Donna might've tanked without it.

I always loved Insider. The way their voices merged together really worked.
Gold is another great song with Stevie and John singing together
Whenever I call you friend has a great vocal and is the most literal meaning of a duet
Leather and Lace has an incredible vocal that I think gets over looked
Since Frozen Love was included what about Don't Let Me Down Again

How can I forget Whenever I Call you Friend w/ Kenny Loggins. I love Gold w/ John Stewart but I don’t think of that song as a duet.

I agree about Gold, that it’s not really a duet. I feel the same way about Magnet and Steel, a song I love, but it’s not really a duet. Always interesting to me both of these were included on her Enchanted box set.

She was proud of those songs and both artists credit her for making their career better. Kenny was having issues making it as a solo star. Whenever I Call You Friend became his first big solo hit and his career took off. She knew her contributions to those songs made them hits. Both artists would gladly let her include them in her Enchanted Box set.

I was speaking about Gold and Magnet and Steel being the two songs I was surprised she included, and I’m sure Walter Egan was thrilled his songs were included on the box set. Whenever I Call You Friend with Stevie and Kenny is definitely a duet, as opposed to being a prominent back up vocal, so I wasn’t a bit surprised that song made the cut.

I may have been surprised those two songs made it on the box set, but pleasantly so.

Singing harmony on a chorus, does not a duet make.

Having your own solo lines in a song makes a duet.

Wow, you’re right. Silly me! I looked at the box set, convinced you were wrong, but you were right! I was even wrong about the person who sang Gold- I thought it was Walter Egan, but it was John Stewart. Geez! Personally, I prefer Stevie’s contribution to Magnet and Steel to Gold.

Stevie's greatest talent was that of harmony and duet vocals, something about it always brought out the best in her.

1. Whenever I Call you Friend- one of her very best if not her best, vocals ever recorded, it's amazing in every way and was a gateway to a solo career that would come a few short years later.
2. I Don't Want to Know- Rumours forgotten child is the best Stevie and Lindsey ever sang together, a highlight of side two.
3. Tunnel of Love with Walter Egan- Check out her vocals on his first two albums especially this one- it's fantastic!
4. Stop Draggin my Heart Around- Launched her solo career and the time she truly made someone else's song, her very own, it's Tom in a duet with Stevie vs the other way around.
5. Leather and Lace- A wonderful composition brought to life by Stevie and Don.
6. Desiree with Rick Vito- one of her best second phase songs and she sings the heck out of it. Rick also brought a certain fire out in her, that really never came to life again after they stopped working together.
7. Frozen Love- started it all and a precursor to the wonderful I Don't want to Know.
8. Crystal- More of a harmony than a duet but rarely have Stevie and Lindsey sounded this much in synch as on this song.
9. Midnight Wind with John Stewart, wow is she on fire on this tune, better than Gold IMO.
10. Where's the Party? with Walter Egan- another gem which features a vocal style she rarely did, but did very well
