Default 'People Magazine' - 'The Fleetwood Mac Of All Trades' (1981)

As a longtime fan, I've accumulated a bunch of original articles and stuff over the years, which I'll photograph/scan to share.

also, that stool he's sitting on showed up in a photo of him working in his home studio a couple of years ago.

I love seeing old articles, thanks for taking the trouble to scan and post this. It's so long ago...

It's a cool picture. It's also in Mick's 1992 "My Twenty-Five Years in Fleetwood Mac" coffee table book.

I have no read it in a long time. I bought it for the pictures of course. It was the early 90s and internet didn't have all the info and multimedia we see today.

After all we learned about Mick, I lost interest in his latest material. I don't even bought the second book. But I usually check the first one cause I have it in txt file (somebody here shared it, I'm almost sure it was a ledgie but can't remember).

That's hard to believe, since you never reference it...

It's interesting how he mentioned plans to embark on a series of solo gigs after the release of Law and Order and before the Mirage Tour. To my knowledge, this never materialized.

He sort of toyed with the idea but apparently came to the conclusion that he didn’t have enough solo songs to launch a whole show. At one point, he mildly criticized Stevie and Christine for relying so heavily on the Fleetwood Mac catalog for their solo gigs.

I always took him at his word, but now I wonder whether that was just an excuse to cover the possibility that he could not figure out the logistics on his own of touring solo. After all, he didn’t have anything like the support structure that Stevie did — or that Christine did in 1984.

Anybody remember who played “Bwana” with him on Saturday Night Live? There was a band right there.

The Cholos, not sure if it was a real band or just a made up name of a bunch of guys who were available. Included Mick on drums and seemed like a bunch of guys from his “Trouble” video.

There ya go — an ace band for 1981–82. George Hawkins, Billy Burnette, Steve Ross, and Mick backing Lindsey. He was never better. He’s even wearing a decent suit.

I like that rain room picture, too.

Does anyone know where this house was located?
