What's the story behind the "assumption that the Macs can walk on water"? Is it a play on words, or was there an episode where someone said that, related to their success or something?

Know what's funny? My mom always got People, and I cut out EVERYTHING FM related back then. But I don't recall seeing this.

Thanks for posting it.

Wow it says Chris brought her boyfriend Curry Grant. I thought they dated years before this and was the inspiration for YMLF. Didn't the band fire him for awhile? She was still dating him in 1978 even after he was fired? I know he came back to the band but damn he really made loving fun!

just a reference to the fact that at that moment in time they could do no wrong, everything they touched turned to gold, etc etc

Chris was with him for a few years; they were still living together when john remarried. she went to the wedding with curry and her brother as well. Curry wasn't ever really 'fired', he was sort of 'let go' and sent home for a while so john could get himself together. Then he came back for the next tour and was with them i believe for every tour that followed lol. he stuck around.

One thing's for sure: it clarifies how hot Lindsey was in 1977/78. Compare his mug with just about everyone else's. He stands a head apart.

The other person who looks great here is Christine, all glammed up for her ex's wedding. What a baller move.

Caption says Stevie came long enough to clasp the newlyweds and left. I am sure it had nothing to do with Lindsey bringing his new girlfriend

The rooms were on fire every time she walked in the room

Oh god she's here. Hide me.

Oh hi Stevie. Thunder only happens when its raining, ......right?

People magazine reported Stevie made a B line straight to Pablo Escobar's party.

Maybe Stevie and Paul Fishkin went home to eat some Mrs. Paul's fish sticks.

It says John and Julie's home was a 2-bedroom... I'm trying to figure out how you host 400 guests in a 2 bedroom house...... (even with putting a floor over the pool)...that's a LOT of people!

This explains why after years of this kind of intrusive coverage (no doubt arranged by their publicity people) John retreated from most media interactions.

John never seemed to give a sh*t about all the pomp and glamor. Just a musician whose band happened to hit the big time.

Interesting photos. The picture with Christine and Bob Welch was sad. We've lost them both, and of course the falling out between them over the lawsuit and the RRHOF debacle adds another layer.
