I doubt some of the members are even aware that it’s in the works. I think their business offices provide whatever input may be needed.

I hate to look a gift horse (Rhino) in the mouth — I shore do appreciate the work they’re doing with these live packages — but I wish they would reach out to some of us (me in particular) for which material to hunt down. The Mac was poorly recorded at the Forum that year — that arena is notorious for terrible sound.

There are shows that Rhino has dug up parts of which were infinitely better recorded and allow for more effective mastering: Kansas City 8/24/80, Cleveland 5/20/80, Omaha 8/21/80 (Think About Me, Angel, and Songbird, respectively). We could use all of those in their entirety. Surely there must be another 1982 show that the band recorded more than adequately — outdoor shows in an amphitheater often sound a lot better in recording. The outdoor shows, if they’re available, would make great releases: Alpine Valley, Irvine Meadows (with Henley), Houstin at the Summit, Tempe at Compton Terrace, Memphis at the Coliseum, Sacramento at Cal Expo.

Rhino, we love you. Dig, dig, dig.

An '80 live box set would be amazing, I too would have preferred any of those over the '82 Forum show.

It would also be amazing to have clean copies of the Japan and Australia '80 shows. The circulating copies sound terrible with so many generations of tape hiss.

I think Brian transferred the Sydney March 15 1980 (Hordern) from my cassette from Maureen directly to digital. He may have the best-possible digital copy of it.

When I said up above that I was hoping Rhino would reach out to me, I was JOKING, people. Nobody said anything. I was kidding. I truly meant ledgies collectively. Only Tammy and Alex seem to know when I’m pulling someone’s leg. I don’t think anybody reads my posts anyway.

This is really exciting just to get Sara, Oh Well, and Hold Me on a professionally released CD let alone all the other songs. The only way we could hear these songs were bootlegs on youtube. This is long overdue. Can you imagine something like this coming out on the heals of The Dance.

Apple had sent me an update on my I-phone that it was "available".

I just listened the preview in iTunes. At first it's similar to the Live album but then the instrumental segment is different, and very cool.

Yes, at iTunes all song descriptions says Live at the Forum, Inglewood CA 10/21/82

But Rhino page says This 22-track live collection features six previously unreleased recordings from the October 21, 1982 show, including favorites like “Landslide,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Never Going Back Again.” The other songs were recorded at the October 22 show and have appeared on various releases through the years, including Live Super Deluxe Edition (2021), Mirage Super Deluxe Edition (2016) and the 1983 concert video Mirage Live.

Since the information they usually include in their albums is so "reliable", I wouldn't be surprised if the recording is from 1997.

Really looking forward to Brown Eyes too. Last tour without back up singers and backing musicians. Landslide and Don't Stop were not anthems. I listened to Don't Stop and its the faster pace it was played before it became a show closer anthem. Besides her 1984 solo tour this would be the last tour a real piano was played on Don't Stop.
THIS my friends was Fleetwood Mac.
