I've read that the Gypsy story is now 13 minutes long.

WHAT THE ACTUAL FUKC?

Does $he actually think people want to hear her drone on for 13 minutes?

What an idiot.

Yes, she reaches a low standard common denominator. Exhausting. It's all about her. And the more she does it, she more it boosts her legacy.

Sad.

LOL I just checked youtube..her Gypsy ramble was 11 minutes and change at the 5/21/24 show. I wouldn't be shocked if she's up to 13 minutes at this point.

But with no album of re-recorded songs that Lindsey produced horribly and amateurishly performed on either.

The tee shirt I bought had a new band photo on it!

Her bloated sense of self importance is staggering.

I don’t go to her concerts anymore and haven’t since the In Your Dreams tour but it makes sense to me. She is 76 years of age and does a greatest hits tour. It’s all solo and band hits. Keep the track list to a minimum and talk about it to give the”fans” something “new”. Every song is a crowd pleaser.

I bought that Penguin 2018 shirt, even though I BOYCOTTED the tour. I like the penguin on the front, and it was a whopping $5(NEW) on eBay!

How Lindsey is so mean to her
How Lindsey mock her at the awards ceremony
How Lindsey dared to make a FM album without her
How Lindsey had the nerve to ask her to change tenses in her songs
How she supported Lindsey for years being a cleaning lady
How Lindsey would be nothing without her
How Lindsey can't tour because of his frail health
How she is NOT the boss of the band
How Lindsey was not fired
etc....

No, no, no....

They opened for Jimi Hendrix
In fact, she discovered Jimi Hendrix
But they opened for him in front of
10,000 people...
no, 20,000 people
Actually it was 40,000 people
Nope, it was 75,000 people

I was talking with my wife before dinner about this crazy mojo article and having the sharp tongue that I often have, I said "If she really wanted to honor Christine, she could start by learning a third chord on the piano"

Hey now! She and Jimi were best friends forever!

I think you’re right. They must have been, and that grew into this giant narrative about how the other members of Mac kept him out of the Hall of Fame. But I don’t think that’s true because, at least at that time, it wasn’t possible. There is an executive committee in place to decide who gets in and who doesn’t. The journalist Robert Hilburn was on that committee at the time, and he was asked at the time why Welch and Weston and Vito and Burnette weren’t included in the induction. Hilburn was very clear. He and the other folks on the committee (including Ahmet Ertegun and Jann Wenner) met to discuss the possibility of admitting more people from Mac’s history, but they unanimously decided that only the Green group and the Buckingham + Nicks group met the committee’s artistic and cultural-powerhouse requirements for being inducted. The band may or may not have been able to persuade the committee otherwise, but the committee made the call, not the band.

Of course, that committee has been hugely inconsistent over the years with its reasoning: Eagles all in, the Miracles not in, Parliament all in, the Crickets not.

Bob is the one who started the idea that this decision was “retribution” for filing suit in 1994. If Mick and John had demanded that Bob be included, Wenner and Ertegun would have told them to get back in their swim lane. This executive board has final say on which members get in.

If Mac hadn’t been inducted until the past few years, I think there’s a really good choice that everyone would have been inducted, because I think the committee is so obviously off-course and prone to lobbying, especially the past ten years. I think you really can buy your way in now.
