Has anyone seen Stevie in concert this year?
Does Stevie have an opening act on her current tour. I am attending the show on August 12 in Houston and the showtime is listed as 7pm (Doors at 6).

That seems unusually early for Stevie to begin. Does she go on at 7pm sharp?

I went to the Toronto show in June. Her opening act (Tenille Townes) started at 7.

But I think Townes (who is Canadian) only did the Toronto show. Stevie may have different (local?) opening acts at each stop.

Amazon has not shipped my 10-CD set yet, but here's a first: They lowered the price to 79.99 from the 99.99 price I purchased it for without me even asking for any type of discount, and gave me a $21.00 credit.

I guess we should love Amazon. I cannot imagine a company offering a discount after we've already paid full price.

She does. But usually not the same one for more than 2 nights. I think Stevie went on at 8:20 when I saw her this year.

Better to be early than be in a crowded ingress while Outside the Rain is playing!

I think the newly remastered albums (RAL, TOSOTM, SA, TISL) absolutely sound better. It’s typical of albums remastered in the last ten years to be quieter (the 90s gave rise to what are called “The Sound Wars”). I think “Whole Lotta Trouble” is one of the songs that has one the most notably different mixes: the slide guitars are more in the background and the song is also 28 seconds longer!

I do dislike the tiny font in all the sleeves/booklets and there’s not really info about who did the remastering across the board? It just has compilation production / supervisory credits.

That's most likely because you were listening to their MP3 versions. This came with the order: The CD you pre-ordered will be arriving shortly. We thought you'd like to know that the CD is AutoRip eligible. This means that the MP3 version of the album is now available for you to play or download from your Amazon Music Library for FREE.

P.S. so much for the CD arriving shortly. They haven't even shipped the damn thing yet!

Thanks for your review. That's the information I was looking for. I hate it when they master CDs so loud they sound distorted, which is how it been done for a while. In the early days CDs were mastered with really low volume and then it went to way too loud. That's one of the things that I really like about Rhino remasters is that the audio levels are correct. They sound more warm and I hear a lot more detail in the recording.

I miss the old days when you can run down to the local record store and buy a new release on the morning it was actually released. I would get so excited and be ready to run down to the store at opening. I still remember doing this for many of FM albums, especially TUSK. There was so much hype about it's release after Rumours.

Some online vendors will try to have new releases to you on release date but not Amazon. Several times I preordered FM releases only to have Amazon tell me it's on backorder before it's even released. Even worse, I can't even count how many times my shipments are damaged from being shipped in a flimsy envelope. One time Amazon even shipped a vinyl record that someone bought me in an envelope with no other packing.

I have several cool local record stores in my area but they don't really order CDs anymore when they can make so much more profits on a $30+ vinyl record.

I miss the days of going to the record store and buying a new or fresh album or even an older one. The Rumours insert could keep you busy for hours looking at all the photos and reading the lyrics and the thank you notes.
I miss that new vinyl smell too. Although it would really suck if your new album had a scratch. I remember my Mirage album had a few tiny scratches that made a few songs skip a few places. I was too young to drive so it would be a hassle to find a ride back to the mall for an exchange. You dealt with it sometimes applying pressure to the needle to work out the skip.
I still do not buy any digital music. I still listen to CDs. I have a great little Bose system that works fine.

That could be, Viv. My friend Alex was listening to the CDs themselves on his Sonos Arc and said they sounded much better than the original CDs. I also notice that the BD and WH mixes are the recent deluxe mixes, which were good.

But what about photos and fun stuff in this package? Is there anything interesting?

Thanks for this information. It's safe to assume that Stevie will have an opening act of some sort in Houston on 8/12.

We can arrive at 7pm and still have one hour + before "Outside the Rain" kicks off.

I'll let you know, if the package arrives sometime in 2023. I just contacted Amazon because it hasn't even been shipped yet. My condo has paper thin walls as do many apartments in this world and I don't like to disturb the neighbors on either side of me with music. I'm not a big headphone or ear bud fan either. One of my neighbors was gone for 2 weeks, came back for one overnight and vanished again. All that time I could have been blasting my music!!

A little fun. Now that the Box Set is out what if Stevie only played songs from the box set when she starts her tour in Columbus, Ohio after over a month of rest.

1. Thousand Days
2. If Anyone Falls
3. Stop Draggin' My Heart Around
4. Wild Heart
5. Bella Donna
6. Rooms On Fire
7. I Sing For the Things
8. Gate and Garden
9. After the Glitter Fades
10. Stand Back
11. Outside the Rain
12. Blue Lamp
13. Leather and Lace
14. My Heart
15. One More Big Time Rock and Roll Star
16. Edge of Seventeen
17. The Nightmare
18. Has Anyone Ever Written

I guess never
