According to "Insider" Fleetwood Mac is back.
This guy speculates this was a purpose leak by Mick Fleetwood to bring everyone together. Then he says Sheryl Crow or Bonnie Rait should fill Chris's shoes. Dont shoot the messenger, I am only posting this clip. Mick only saw $$$$ in 2018 and now after Chris's passing he only sees $$$$$ again. I love how now he NEEDS Lindsey otherwise people would not say its Fleetwood Mac without Chris and Lindsey. But now he NEEDS Lindsey now that Chris is gone. Its beyond words how he treats band members that have brought him so much. Poor Mike and Neil. I suppose when Mick promised it was a real band and they were not temporary replacements was a LIE. God help us all https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_jSSUZb5DgI

What if Fleetwood Crow just did mashups of Fleetwood Mac and Sheryl Crow songs?
Possible setlist: Strong Enough To Go Your Own Away Dreams Of Soaking Up The Sun If I Makes You Happy then Hold Me Leaving Las Vegas to See the Seven Wonders Ok someone's gotta run with this, but better than I just did LOL |

Chris is not replaceable. Some bands can get away with replacing a musician when a band member dies or leaves. The Who did it with their bassist and the Stones did it with their drummer to finish a tour. However Chris was also a major singer in the band. Its one thing to hire someone for keyboards but its a whole different thing to hire someone to not only play her parts but sing her parts. I don't agree with this at all. I could stomach Billy singing Go Your Own Way because its sort of an anthem and was always the Mac closer. But Neil singing Second Hand News and Monday morning was cover band material.
I admire Led Zeppelin. They lost their drummer and called it a day. The magic was gone and would not go on without their member. Mick already destroyed the legacy of the band (sorry bwboy). Just when you think Mick cant go any lower he surprises you. All this to keep Mick out of bankruptcy? Call me bitter but I could not stand to hear the constant tributes for Chris by Stevie while her pal Sheryl is singing her songs. Go on the road with Neil and Mike. At least there would be some consistency there. Mick threw Lindsey out a window for 8 million dollars. Now he's willing to pretend that never happened for another 8 million dollars. Enough. Legends don't get replaced. I love how easy Mick feels with replacing Lindsey and Chris yet Stevie is off limits. Its insane now Chris had to sit down with Bekka to explain the rules. Bekka you are wonderful but a little bit of advice. Its not wise to perform any Stevie songs. Reminds me of that 1970s commercial: "It's not nice to fool mother nature" Its not nice to perform Stevie Nicks songs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gDkiq5jD5Hc

They should do 3 concerts at the most. The most.
First half would be with guests …as a tribute to Christine. Bit bluesy, mainly Christine’s songs. Second half would be Fleetwood Mac Rumours Five. Then that’s it…IT. They can ride off into the sunset. |

The craziest part of that clip was not Fleetwood Crow. It was the part where he suggests the band performing Buckingham/McVie songs. I do agree with him that the Buck/Vie album was the best thing the band did since Mirage though.
Could you imagine this? Mick: Stevie, I spoke to Lindsey and we are putting a few new songs in the set Stevie: What songs? Mick: Lindsey wanted to do a few from his album with Chris Stevie: What album is that? Mick: The album you boycotted because Chris and Lindsey wanted to record and went on without you Stevie: You have got to be kidding me Mick: Do you think you can learn Red Sun? Stevie: You can reach me by fax machine from now on. You decide Mick. Its Dreams or Red Sun. I you do Red Sun, I will not perform Dreams ever. Do you understand me. But while we are talking, Sheryl is putting My Favorite Mistake in the set. Tell Lindsdey he needs to learn the guitar on that one

Personally, I’m glad FM didn’t break up when Lindsey walked out on the band. If they had, we wouldn’t have gotten some of my favorite FM songs ever, including As Long As You Follow, Save Me, Love Shines, Heart of Stone, etc. Notice those are all Christine McVie songs, plus other favorites like Do You Know, In the Back of My Mind, Love is Dangerous, No Questions Asked, etc. Likewise, I’m glad they didn’t break up when Christine left, even though it’s such a huge disappointment that Lindsey blocked Christine from recording on Say You Will because she didn’t want to tour. Ironically, the exact same thing he did to FM, he wouldn’t allow for Christine (Lindsey recorded on Tango in the Night, but apparently had no intention of touring with them). Despite all that, I still love the band. |

Agreed re As Long As You Follow, Save Me, Love Shines, Heart of Stone, etc. Though since Christine had put out a solo record before and later did again, I think there's a good possibility that, had she left with Lindsey in 1987, we might have gotten a 90s solo album from her that perhaps would have featured some of those songs.
