I think Al is right that it was Stevie’s self-imposed rule that Sara, Gypsy, and Beautiful Child couldn’t be performed outside of a FM concert. In 2007, she said she wanted to do Silver Springs on tour; I really doubt Lindsey called her and said don’t play it in your set.
I do think with Irving Azoff as Stevie and FM’s consultant, there will be some performances as Fleetwood Mac “Honoring the Legacy of Christine McVie ”in the future. And I’d predict Sheryl Crow will be a part of them. I would only go if Billy, Rick, and Lindsey were a part of them. Dave Walker and Jeremy could be too but the 3 I first mentioned would have to be there for me. Just my opinion. |

It really makes me wonder what really happened when it comes to a lot of these Stevie vs Fleetwood Mac stories that she's talked about for decades.
She likes to claim that she sacrificed a lot of her solo career for carving out time for Fleetwood Mac (it's like the army, after all). I'd argue that drugs and rehab took more time away from her solo career than anything. Did a copy of Bella Donna really get tossed to the corner of the Studio as a slight to her or did somebody simply have to move it to make room for the english muffin pizzas and Courvoisier® at 2AM? Christine's recent comments about there not being as much fighting as people like to think/write about comes to mind. I was just reading Ken's book about Tusk and there's this whole dramatic section about Sara and how hard Stevie would have to fight to have the band work on the song, all of this big build up to playing Lindsey the demo and selling him on the song, what a herculean task it was going to be to get Lindsey on board etc. They play it for him and he instantly said "this is a great song, let's do it"

Sara is gone from the setlist. So if you see her solo show, the extra song you get is Soldier's Angel.

SA isn't a song most of us would have chosen but at least she's doing one of her own obscure songs over a cover from someone else we cannot stand to hear. I still wish she'd sing songs of hers that have never been performed onstage before. There are so many she could choose from. Personally I don't need to hear Sara at a SN concert because it sounds better with FM to me. I wish she'd not do any FM songs on her solo tours and vice versa. Plus that would make her more inclined to WANT to do more FM tours, so she could actually sing those songs onstage with a better group of musicians.

Illuminate would be a great tribute for the people of Ukraine. I agree that this tour’s Sara is not sounding great. I think the Soundstage one was her best solo version. |

However well over 1 year ago, she said she recorded one of her best songs she's written called "The Vampire's Wife." Apparently at her shows now she has a shirt with the 24 Karat Gold album cover on it too but no songs being played from that. |

Mick won’t do Fleetwood Mac without John. He’d do Fleetwood Nicks, Buckingham Fleetwood, or some variation of the Mick Fleetwood Band/The Zoo, but not Fleetwood Mac. That’s a line he won’t cross.

A Fleetwood Mac without any Mac is not a Fleetwood Mac I’d have any interest in. Once John wasn’t part of that Peter tribute concert, I had a feeling we’d seen the last of him on a stage. |

I agree. Not interested in Fleetwood Mac without a McVie, and John was more done than Christine a year ago.

The majority of existing Ledgie board members would agree with you but the Stevie fans and the casual FM fans would pack those arenas. |

People said when Lindsey didn’t want Sheryl Crow in FM in 2009 it was because he didn’t want to lose any of his cut or he didn’t want to share Stevie. But I think it was out of respect to Christine. If Sheryl was coming in so that they would make a new album, which they would have never done because Stevie wouldn’t make an album with the 2018 lineup, then I would have said let Sheryl in, but hell no to bringing in Sheryl to sing on an oldies tour.
Even with his remarks about Christine cutting off communication with everybody, I still feel he respected her FM legacy in that he wasn’t going to endorse anyone taking her place to sing her classic songs as if they were her own. |

But you're right about John... the casual/ Stevie fan doesn't give af about who the bass player is. As long as grandma hands is doing her Edge Walk on her jazzy scooter. Wheeeeeeee! Her joystick is stuck! Wheeeeeee!!!
