“Everywhere” hit #14 in the United States, so it wasn’t exactly small potatoes. “Rhiannon” and “Say You Love Me” both peaked at #11 for perspective.

But 1975 and 1987 weren't exactly the same playing field.

If anything, it was more difficult to climb the charts in the 80's. So kudos to Christine for nailing it.

Exactly. That was my point. And they were fresh in 1975. And approaching dinosaur status in 1987.

Everywhere is that grey area. While there apparently were videos made, they were not shown on MTV. If it was not Fleetwood Mac would the song still have charted without a video? During the early promo days of Tango, they made 3 videos, one for each singer. They did not think much beyond 3 singles and then were on tour with Everywhere was released. It sort of hurt the song IMHO. You can count on one hand the songs not played on MTV that were still big hits. Everywhere is so whimsical. It would be a tough video challenge. A live version of the song would have been a good video.

Well… this is kinda random…
I’m not a big fan of Watch Mojo, but it was a kinda weird but pleasant surprise to see Everywhere on this list…. Watch Mojo: Top 20 Songs Everyone Has To Hear At Least Once Everywhere is a lovely song. But….Im very surprised to see it gain a place at number 8 on this list https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThmMU4Lz_8s

Good list. Of course it's not definitive and not to take it so serious. But I strongly agree with
Fast Car Like a Rolling Stone Smells Like Teen Spirit Stairway to Heaven Billy Jean Respect Stand By Me Let It Be What's Going On Bohemian Rhapsody Of course those bands/singers have lot of songs to choose instead, including Everywhere, which is a song everyone has to hear at least a dozen times. Does it mean Watch Mojo considers Everywhere as Christine's signature song?

I would say that YMLF is her signature song.

I would choose Say You Love Me before You Make Lovin Fun. It gets more overall air play. That’s why I would pick Edge of Seventeen over Stand Back for the same reason for Stevie solo.
