I always felt it was the less "Fleetwood Mac" song, or single, I've ever heard.

Right along with Silver Girl, another doozy.

It doesn't sound like Fleetwood Mac at all. It sounds like something they fabricated really quickly, trying to have something, anything commercial. It doesn't fit with the album.

It always sounded like Stevie trying to write like Christine which just doesn’t work. I never thought the song was good enough to be on the album let alone to be the albums name. If I trim the album down, I think that and Silver Girl are among the first to go. The fact that they played it at every show was also lame - Thrown Down or EFO would’ve been far better and more Stevie than SYW could ever be.

Though that’s good to dance to.. So I’m not agreeing it’s all crap. |

I did like IYD when it was first released but when I listened to it the other day, I liked just a few songs. Sadly her A game has vanished ![]()

For me it was Street Angel, one of the most horrible albums ever made.

Yeah, this album makes RAL a dream.

All of those albums have bad songwriting, but I least like the production on Street Angel. Next I would say is OSOTM and then RAL. Jimmy was gone so there was no one to give her constructive feedback, a least, that she would listen to. Just a mountain and coke and the hang-oners.
I recently listened to SYW after a long break and was shocked how bad her vocals are on it. The songs that I thought I liked (Thrown Down & Not Make Believe) sounded so nasally that I couldn't even listen to them. Nothing like the voice I fell in love with in the early days. But for me the absolute worse is Live In Chicago. I couldn't even make it through it even once! Her first album that was released that I couldn't even listen to. I was shocked and bewildered how bad her vocals had became. Closely followed by the live 24 Karat album (I say Hey Baby). Completely unlistenable. I still enjoy the early work, but I'm protective of my memories and stay away from anything from the last several decades.
