Definitely the original, which is corny but earnest and lovely in a warm, unaffected way.

The solo version was produced to be an AOR hit. A calculated bid to exploit smooth sounds for profit. Bob’s vocal is lifeless. I like Christine and Lindsey’s vocal cameos—and nothing else.

It glistens, it seems more focused, and BuckVie produced and performs on it! It's very pleasing to my ears. Great single.

See, I prefer the earthy hokeyness of the original.

Who does the solo on Bare Trees?

It sounds like a Leslie rotating speaker.

Landslide is about her playing lead guitar on Sentimental Lady. She realizes that now.

She felt sorry for Lindsey, and his lack of talent, and stepped aside. What a $aint she is!

This seems to be from the same 1981 @The Roxy gig where Stevie sings GDW.
It's a cool live of Bob's solo version.
