This version may even be better than the Live album version. Its more raw. Gosh Christine is a goddess behind all those keyboards and makes it look easy. Lindsey's licks at the beginning are so cool.
THIS is Fleetwood Mac. Lindsey is so jacked up lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4cUoB_ztwg The Chain from the same show. The Rumours tour was so damn good https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6ZG_R3PDSE

What an amazing version! Chris sounds really on point!!!! Lindsey's guitar is on fire. Do things ever come along for y'all where you are just blown away again - and you realize this is just really the best band of all time. At least in my heart.
I always love the demo of this that was on the deluxe edition - that piano part they took out of the final version is SO damn McVie - it kind of bridges the gap between "Heroes Are Hard To Find" and the White album. I don't know about anyone else - but I'm still super bummed out about Christine being gone. Thanks for sharing this - love her crimped hair too! |

Yeah, giddy up!
What a rollicking start to the song. John and Lindsey. ...And then I saw the Japanese subtitles to Christine's first line translated as "You beckon me to Heaven" and felt all morose again. ![]() Somebody give Stevie a tambo. She's meandering aimlessly around the stage with arms crossed. Meanwhile Chris is madly operating the keys like Dr Who on the Tardis.

The YMLF and GYOW performances at this show were ridiculously good. Each of the four instrumentalists is in top form—and Stevie brings the visual drama.

Love this, thanks for sharing! Chris and the whole band are at the top of their game here. This is such a great version of a song I’ve always thought was underrated in general - it was the hit that started it all for the Rumours lineup, but I hardly ever hear people talk about it.
I’m also living for the crimped hair. Wonder if that’s ever going to come back in style.

I was always curious about the song being written about Lindsey. I mean, it was the first album and the song was recorded in february 1975, Christine hadn't known him for long and was already writing a song about her friendship with him. Something to think about it.
![]() I read about it here in many threads, but here's an article about the song. The Christine McVie song was a bellwether and blueprint for everything that would follow. The band's first Top 40 hit in America, it fades in, like an unveiling of something new. Pedaling on a single chord, it has the gauzy feel of one of those spring-winter fulcrum days, all blue sky and possibility, with a hint of a chill. “You can take me to paradise, then again you can be cold as ice,” McVie sings, matching the mood. “I'm over my head, but it sure feels nice.” She would later reveal to the BBC that the song was written about her fascination with new bandmate Lindsey Buckingham. “He was that kind of guy, he could be cold as ice, and then he could be great. So I took that feeling I was feeling, and I turned it into a song.” https://www.loudersound.com/features...c-their-future I agree with the article that, though Lindsey said in the Classic Album Rumours video, that it was when Rhiannon was played on radios, people started to ask Fleetwood Mac with hits??, that it was Over My Head the turning point that changed the future of the band.
