Stevie could have greats like Lady A (Vanessa went after them), Macy Gray, Sheryl Crow, HAIM, or The Chicks open her concerts. But maybe she figured Vanessa could use the work.

Maybe she chose Vanessa because they can get from gig to gig riding on that piano of hers and save on gas.

In my experience most of them are pretty thick anyway, and only give out their fourpennyworth to keep in the public eye.

Apart from Marcus Rashford…he’s a good guy.
Amen Sue. I guess it is being constantly surrounded by yes men and women that makes these celebrities labor under the impression that the public is waiting with bated breath for them to teach us how we should feel about things.

I guess Stevie sees herself as a role model. Maybe she should of acted like one in 70s and 80s.

She’s encouraging people to go out and vote. Nothing to do with being a good role model, then or now. And I guess Stevie was about as good a role model as Madonna, Prince, or Mick Jagger were. That is to say, if you’re looking to rock stars to be good role models, maybe you should look elsewhere.

Didn't she have The Pretenders for her last full tour? That's a pretty big name for an opener-slot.

They did. It would have been great if they opened this tour again, which is a full tour. It's 20 plus dates.

Pretenders opened the FM 2019 Europe dates.

Vanessa also opened for Stevie in 2005 and Summer 2017.

So because Stevie didn't post "Black Lives Matter," justice isn't personal to Stevie? But it was to countless artists and entertainers.
Nice try.

Stevie can weigh in (or not) on anything she wants. I find celebs, as I said, much more credible if they DON'T jump on EVERY bandwagon but those they have a known direct connection to in some way.

I don't know how Stevie feels about BLM, and neither do you.

Vanessa Carlton doesn't have to agree with me; she gets to live her life however she wants. If she wants to speak out on everything, she can. I just won't be as persuaded by her activism in that case. Again, she doesn't have to care about that, and I don't have to care that she doesn't care.

Vanessa can OPINE that SHE thinks every artist should speak on every issue, but no one has to listen to her or agree with her. Clearly Stevie doesn't feel that way.

Nice try? Not very respectful. I'm being serious with you.

Ever heard of "White Silence equals White Consent"?

Speculation by any other name is still speculation.

By now, you should know Stevie is an opportunist.
