She knows what it's like to be a forgotten chimpanzee

In all seriousness, her complete shift since about 2011 has been really sad to witness as somebody who was a really huge fan. I really miss '97-'99 era Stevie.

oh she made that comment as far back as the 1970s. Apparently having to be where you're needed to be and be there on time was news to her and she equated it to the Army.

Yes she has said that line many times up to the mid 80s. Her other go to line was the baby sister line about being left out of Fleetwood Mac since she did not play an instrument. They gave her center stage yet she felt left out.

Its funny because Christine had the opposite reaction from her 1980 interview how rock stars are spoiled and waited on hand and foot. Stevie had so many assistants and was high most of the time which is the complete opposite of being in the Army.

That Christine interview is so honest. She does not play victim of anything.

Instead, she said things like: “we spend amounts of $ that are immoral. We tend to forget we have to pay it back in the end.”

Christine knows what it's like to travel on the low end-- lugging your own gear, own suitcase, not staying in the top hotels, etc. She did it for YEARS and many, many tours. Stevie might have experienced lower-end hotels on the BN tour but you can be sure she didn't lug her own suitcase or any equipment. And she surely didn't on the firs Mac tour. I don't know if she had Robin along as an assistant on the first Mac tour, but she sure did by the time they hit the road for Rumours. And she had all her girlfriends too.

Chris said on one of the last FM tours that she finally had an assistant and got a second room for her bags and her clothes etc. Meanwhile Miss Thang has been demanding the Presidential suite for years because she "deserves" it.

And according to Mick's book, she would also request hotel rooms be painted pink and a grand piano installed in the room. She disputes that claim in Micks book.
I got a kick out of the catering story how they would pay big bucks for the best caterer in town before shows but Mick said they were too coked out to eat any of the food. The majority of it would be wasted.

No wonder when the Tusk tour ended, everyone looked at Mick and said, where is the money?

Two things:
1) Peter Guarlnick wrote a two volume biography on Elvis Presley: "Last Train to Memphis: The Rise of Elvis Presley" and "Careless Love: The Unmaking of Elvis Presley." These books are probably the best and most exhaustingly ambitious and complete biographies ever written, and they were about the King of Rock and Roll no less. There was a long road of stuff to cover, drug use and all. For Stevie Nicks to think it would take 4 books to cover her life tells you all about the bloated opinion she has come to have of herself (and I say this as a fan).

2) She says: "I don’t have just 10 years to hang around and wait for this thing to go away. I have places to go, people to sing for, another album to make." F#$& me, but this this just makes me want to put my head through a wall. So what has been her excuse the 10 years before anyone ever heard of coronavirus when she dug her heels in against no FM album when time really was of the essence? Heck, even the last year and a half when she was in lockdown she could have worked to released reissues of "Rock a Little" and "TOSOTM." Instead, she shot those ideas down. So frustrating!

She'd say Lindsey Buckingham depressed her soul which prevented her from having any will to be creative.

Production company: “we’d like to explore making a film about your life”
Stevie: “that’s fine but you can’t mention Fleetwood Mac and it has to be a 3 film series minimum”
Production Company: how long did you mention you’ve been sober?

She doesn’t want to talk about 80s Stevie beyond Wild Heart. I’m pretty sure she would musically erase 85-95 and pretend it doesn’t exist if she could.

Did she even talk about the current Lindsey/Mac situation in the Tim McGraw interview or is Karen still barring the topic?

Hmm. Where do I sign?

The forty-year gestation for the Rhiannon project means one thing to me: project bloat. It's time to drop this grandiose idea of making a movie or a TV miniseries or an opera or whatever it is you kinda thought you wanted to more or less do at some point. Just do an album and call it Rhiannon. You were going to make a second album of songs from the vault anyway, so record your Rhiannon songs (ten of them, right?) on an album with the Nashville band you worked with a few years ago, stick a witchy old Worthington photo on the front cover and your Rhiannon painting on the back cover, and bingo, you can capstone your album career with this little beauty. Cautionary word: Keep your brother away from the fonts and design.

I keep having this vision, its a paragraph from one of the four volumes.

She’s injured…and fights on for us.(Fans)
She was on her power plate thing…(13 minutes a day, I remember her saying) ,
When it vibrates so much, she’s overcome and flies across the room, having visions on the way.
She loses her veneers and one of her platform boots, her tule skirt is torn to shreds, and she has to be scraped up from the opposite wall saying, more, more,

I can see the whole thing now…wish I couldn’t..
