Default A Fleetwood Mac Christmas Album

We all know Stevie did a wonderful 'Silent Night' in '87. What about a Mac Christmas album? Everyone pick one vocalist and one Christmas song. Any vocalist will do, Pre, Post, or Rumours lineup.

My choice? Christine McVie sings 'Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.'

Talking Even though...

I HATE Christmas albums (aka-"Contractual obligation") but I would like to hear Stevie'a take on "Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer"...LOL!!!

Btw, I have heard a Lind's instrumental version of "Amazing Grace" on a bootleg cd and it sounded very interesting...

I'd like to hear Stevie sing Feliz Navidad . As it is, I love Christine's version of Coventy Carol, and Mick & Billy doing It Came Upon A Midnight Clear.

When I was Christmas shopping this weekend, I walked into Macy's & Stevie's version of Silent Night started playing.

I was just thinking about this the other day! I'd like Lindsey to do "What Child Is This." I think he could do some nice acoustic guitar work on that.

Really? That's something I'd love to hear!

I love it when pop/rock singers/groups do Christmas songs.
However, I think it would be something too happy and normal
for our Mac to do!

At any rate here is my fantasy Christmas Mac album.

1) Frosty The Snowman - Stevie
2) We Three Kings - Lindsey
3) Santa Baby - Stevie
4) The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire) - Lindsey
5) Silver Bells - Stevie
6) All I Want For Christmas Is My Two Front Teeth - Lindsey (Singing it all
Tusk-like and weird, for his kids. )
7) Hark The Herald - Stevie
8) Deck The Hall - Lindsey (Picture him singing the "fa la la la la's" all Tusk-like
and weird. Or maybe Stevie should sing this one since the "fa la la la la's" could be done "Stand Back" style.)
9) The Twelve Days Of Christmas - Stevie (Its long, drawn out and repetitive.
C'mon, Stevie could make it COMPELLING .)
10) I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus - Lindsey (Again, for his kids)

Any idea where I can get this on an original CD? I've got a copy but I'm looking for an original. Just thought you might've come across one since the Holiday CD's have hit the stores is all.

Sorry John, all I've got is the mp3. I'm not sure where the track originated... does anybody else know?

I don't know why, but I've always thought it would be cool to hear Stevie & Lindsey do "Baby, It's Cold Outside."

Well, here’s where I talk about the “Season’s greetings” CD that I know of has the Mick & Billy ICUAMC:

http://ledge.fleetwoodmac.net/showth...sons+greetings

...and just have a look through Christine’s “guest appearances” section of The Penguin discography to see a few albums (though I’m sure there’s more than this now) that have Christine’s “Coventry Carol” on it but here’s a link to The Penguin discography page for the one I have in my collection:

http://www.fleetwoodmac.net/penguin/albums/tacobell.htm

Though little is known about when/where/with whom CM’s CC was recorded etc. I have a hunch that this was one of the (if not, “the”) earliest collection(s) that had this recording.

Hope that helps, and let me know if you come across any comps this year that have the MF & Billy ICUAMC on it, I’m sure we’ll be able to work out a trade (if you do find one) or whatever.

John

P.S. No problem Tiff.
