Wonderful news about the new album! Since it’s being mastered now I can only assume that it is not exactly what he could have released in lieu of Anthology. So much has happened in his life since then he could write at least two separate albums of songs about, one about the betrayal (and freedom) of the breakup and one about the scariness (and hope) after heart surgery. Perhaps those events will be dealt with in the new music after all.
Now, as for why this writer would also go to Vanessa Carlton ....
