Which performance of SOTM is better - Tusk or Mirage?? - Page 4

Both versions are great but I have to go with Mirage being the best!! I love the speaking in tongues and the clinking on the cowbell.

I think the cape over her head in the Tusk version makes her look funny!! It's pressed to close to the top of her head and makes her face look funny!!! But she still looks wonderful, of course!!!

In the Young Music '77 video she shouts, "Emerald, golden, dancer" during Rhiannon. I have not heard the SOTM where she says this. I was totally blown away when she said it in this Rhiannon (obviously a reference to the Birds...well, two of them anyway!), and would love to hear this SOTM you speak of. Anyone know the exact show it was?

Mad4Stevie-I just sent a PM requesting Tusk SOTM, but then I remembered I had a PM that sat for 4 mos. because I didn't have e-mail alert on, so anyways...you have a (not so) private message.

AND TO ANSWER THE QUESTION (does anyone still care or read this by the end of page 4 anyways?):

SINCE i DON'T KNOW THE tUSK VERSION OF COURSE IT'S mIRAGE, which would probably win even if I knew the Tusk one, because that frizzly-blue-hair, cowbell-over-the-head, walking-like-a spider-in-those-boots-dance (and of course, the tongue talkin') is suuuuuuuuper creepy in that Stevie way!!!
She's not really doing anything creepy on this tour. TOO BAD!

I can't choose between the two. Both perfomances have their merits. But one thing about the Tusk video...it's very obvious to me that the audience noise was over-dubbed in those performances. It's not that there wasn't audience noise and applause...it's just that the producers "sweetened" it a little more. It's rather annoying to me. It's very apparent in Sisters Of The Moon. Has anyone else picked up on this?

And wow! This very post has turned me into an "addicted ledgie!"

yeah, that extra audience noise is very noticeable and annoying. you can actually hear the same loop in several songs. i wish they would rerelease this without the "sweetening". i love it when they've got the "audience" cheering during songs like "not that funny" when you know the audience was probably going for a bathroom break...not that the song isn't good...but at that time i don't think people were going as haywire as the documentary suggests.
