For me, Say Goodbye is a sad song (like Carne said:' coming to grips song'). Goodbye Baby is a mother/child love song for me, not a romantic song. But that wouldn't be the case if it weren't for the context I knew about.
Say You Will is for me the most romantic song. Lindsey's best efforts at romance are all about 'bleeding' and 'stealing', so I'll stick with Stevie's more palatable metaphor of dancing I think

I understand you and Carne, it has something to do with how we- individually - describe "romantic". I consider it very vulnerable and romantic-though bittersweet, when you admit that you struggled with a breakup for more than ten years and it took so much time to realize that and find peace with it. Lindsey's heartfelt delivery and beautiful lyrics of say goodbye for me, is a very romantic way of coming to terms/grips.

Hmm, I'm indulging in semantics, but I would say that for me, Big Love is more of a 'sexy' song than a 'romantic' song , if you knwo what I mean. 'Come' is another sexy one; neither particularly 'romantic' for me, both about isolation and a sort of anxious feel to them
I guess for me a 'romantic' song is more sort of endearing and sweet, and generally comes packaged in a major key rather than minor. So I would agree with the first suggestion of Destiny Rules, cause it starts off sort of dark but picks up towards the end, getting all philosophical about destined romance Awww.

I would say that Goodbye Baby is a real tear jerker ("You were with me all the time I'll be with you one day"), but Say You Will is also a good choice ("That kind of touch electricity of love")

In terms of the best songs

FM Warm Ways ( A sweet sexy song)
Rumours Songbird ( A biitersweet haunting ballad)
Tusk Beautiful Child ( The lyrics are so profound)
Mirage Wish You Were Here ( A Nice CM song)
Tango Seven Wonders ( Love the idea of nothing matching the beauty of the one you love)
Behind The Mask - Skies The Limit ( Nice catchy song that proves love knows no boundries)
Time I Do (Who doesn't love somone for being what they are?)
The Dance Silver Springs (Nuff Said )
Say You Will Say You Will ( A nice song abou the kind of power love can have on a person)

I think Bleed to Love Her is probably most "romantic" song on the record. IF there is one.

And I dont know what you guys are hearing, but Lindsey does not say "I never said goodbye to you"....he's saying "And now I say goodbye to you"

Listen really carefully . It really does sound like he says "I never said goodbye to you." I didn't think so either but then I listened with a good pair of headphones. I think it still makes sense if it is that way, and it certainly adds a romantic twist

Wow... I would have never taken "Say Goodbye" as a romantic song, really. It is hardly a way of expressing the good part of a love relationship - rather, it's a song to end one, to close a chapter of a person's life even though you know that other person is going to be close for awhile... for a long while.

To me the most romantic song on the album (talking about how 'good' it is to be in a relationship) has to be "Say You Will", which to me is still Stevie's attempt to write a Christine-type song. Being said that, I think Christine has the most romantic songs in the Fleetwood Mac catalogue, with numbers like "Come A Little Bit Closer", "Spare Me A Little Of Your Love" or "You Make Loving Fun" being my candidates to most romantic FM song ever.

Say Gooodbye...

It breaks my heart everytime I hear it. It talks of a great love....and a parting of ways.... Very romantic to me.
