SisterNightroad, I just mentioned you in another thread! I have truly missed your presence here and I'm glad you're all right!

She can't play an instrument, but so be it.

(New thread idea for cbBen: Have there ever been any other solo RHOOF inductees who can't play an instrument?)

I just hope that for all the people that got her there (the ones who play her instruments, write her songs, sing with her, produce her albums), she spends her 50 minute commencement speech talking about them and not herself. #unlikely

Sigh. If this was twelve months ago I'd have thought this was so cool.

Diana Ross?

I've never heard anyone suggest a singer shouldn't be eligible for the HoF because they don't also play an instrument.

Diana Ross literally had a song called "My Old Piano"!

I don't know about every inductee either, but I just got the feeling that even most of the artists who "just singed" would usually also have a competency in a musical instrument (of more complexity than a tambo).

Well most inductees aren’t witches with dark powers.

Congrats to Stevie! She's the only member of FM who has had any relevance as a solo artist. She deserves this accolade. Haters gonna hate.

Yes, please, and thank you! So many trolls. So little time.

Back in the day with news this big, the SN page would be filled with people. ALl day the Rumours board has had more visitors. Damage has been done.

when she says she has a LOT to say on this ... it will be all about herself and how she made it on her own because she is the Boss.

Janet Jackson

What are our chances of Stevie having a wardrobe malfunction while on stage for the induction?

So happy for her. She deserves it. She is having a great year! Stood up for herself with a great power move & got rid of that thorn in her side (LB). Brought her friend into the band and embarked on a very fun tour. And to close the year out, was the first female inducted twice into the HOF. Bravo!

Congratulations Stevie!

Congratulations! Well deserved!

Why post? No one wants to be bullied. That is all.

Or, the majority of Stevie fans that were here moved on to other forums.

I am genuinely surprised that Stevie is the first woman in twice, TBH. It’s well earned, but I thought it would have been Tina Turner, who’s in as part of Ike & Tina Turner, but not as a solo artist.

She would be criticized if she did thank Lindsey and criticized if she didn't thank Lindsey. Ardent Lindsey fans wouldn't be happy either way.
