Thank you Les for posting the MOJO article!

I was a little blown away with Lindsey and Stevie's very candid comments about their feelings. On one hand, being a fan all these years and having this emotional connection to their music, I love reading that stuff.
However I cant help but wonder how Lindsey's wife feels about all this. I mean, she is his wife, the mother of his children, and part of me thinks that both of them should be a little more discreet about what they say about their relationship out of respect to her. I cant imagine she would feel very good reading those things for all the world to hear.
Just my thoughts on this.

Mojo really got an amazing interview out of the band. It's amazingly touching to hear Stevie focus on the important part of her relationship with Lindsey, the friendship part. That whole paragraph:

Lindsey's had his emotions pretty up front when talking about how much it has meant to him to be able to be friends with Stevie again, when it seemed all was lost. (the drugs/the excesses, etc). I think if he gets to read what she said, it'll knock 'im out. It's sweet.

I noticed that...It also says Mick confessed about his affair with Stevie to Lindsey two years after the fact. I'm confused ... That doesn't seem right. It also says OSOTM was released in 1990. Wasn't that Timespace?

But, I mean...WHOA. Reading that article was an intense experience. The way it's written is extraordinary. Thanks for posting it, Les.

Hearing about all that cash they spent made me cringe. Stevie's room having to be painted pink? *gasp* Mick seemed like such a greedy bastard....I think he's the only one who's still got that money-grubbing streak in him (hence his hiring of a certain extortionist)...the rest have grown up and gotten over it.

I think what Linsdey and Stevie are describing as far as their feelings about each other is a very intense friendship. It certainly is very candid, but it's sweet.

And according to Mick's book, Lindsey was onto the affair from early on...and we all know how reliable the book is.

I think we're probably all taking these quotes different ways. From Stevie's quotes, she seems to speak of him as being someone she loves very much but can never be with... and the closeness that has evolved from their current situation. She seems very fatalistic about the relationship. "We can never be together" "Oh, Stevie, you made a mistake!" She speaks like a woman with regret.

Go back and read Lindsey's quote again if you have time. I think what he says is the really interesting part. He seems to be talking about a future in terms of a future with Stevie. Not just a future with the band. He speaks of trying to get in touch with his love for her and talks of them "stiill trying to figure things out" and the decisions and changes that will effect their future that "Stevie and I are trying to handle...with care." What does that mean? Classic Liddy, being vague. And he doesn't mention his family in this future at all. Perhaps he is speaking about just the band, but in the context of the rest of the statement, I believe he is speaking solely about Stevie.

Once again, that's just my interpretation. Lindsey's statements definitely lend themselves towards much speculation. All I know is that if I were Lindsey's wife, I would be extremely upset with him right now.

What a fascinating, intense, revealing, fresh, enthralling article! The best I've read in a LONG time.

Those quotes by Lindsey and Stevie about each other, WOAH. And Lindsey being more candid about his epilepsy than I've ever heard before, as well as finally admitting to the kick (as best he can, lol). He is usually much more evasive on that number, lol. That nail clippers thing is WILD.

Yes, Stevie, you did make a big mistake! But it is awesome that she is still there for him!

I see two people coming to terms with a longstanding and often difficult relationship. Nothing to get angry about as far as I'm concerned. I imagine Lindsey probably did speak of his family as he has often during this tour but they found Stevie's comments on his family more dramatic and poignant simply because they come from her and express her happiness for him. The British magazine writers do heavily favor the drama of it all.

Confirmed my suspicions about Ken Caillat's feelings for Tusk. There were inklings of that in his Penguin Q&A, I thought.

She LIVES for romance and the fact that she can't have Lindsey, IMO. It gives her life and inspiration. She's like him in that she loves misery, I think. They are BOTH "tortured" artists, in different ways.

I didn't take it to mean that Lindsey was referring to a romantic future with Stevie... I think they're both just pondering where they will go from here.
Will they continue to talk and cultivate a friendship, or will they revert back to some of their old ways, allowing working with Fleetwood Mac to be the only environment in which they communicate?

With their tumultuous history, it could easily go either way, and I imagine that's why they're trying to be cautious this time around.
